1st time IVF ::: too many doubts!!!!

Postby AmnDel » Tue Feb 17, 2015 7:25 am

Hi Ladies....
I'm in India, 32 n married for 6 yrs!!

I've just started my first, totally weird ivf cycle:

On day 3 I had a scan and doctor gave me clomid 100 for 5 days n then gonal F 225iu for 3 days!! N then a scan again on 23rd February?
I just can't understand y am I not being given injections from day 2/3??? It just feels like the doctor is conducting a trial cycle!!!

My sis in law is just about to deliver a baby girl through ivf in March n she's in New Zealand!!!

Is there anyone with a similar situation???

Hi there!

Unfortunately, I'm not very familiar with your protocol. I have heard of it but usually it is used for women with diminished ovarian reserve. What is your AMH, FSH if you don't mind me asking? Have you asked your doctor to explain the protocol to you? I wish you good luck at your next follicle monitoring appointment!

Hi Asventurer,

Thank u so much for ur mail. Congratulations for your success!!!!!!

My doctor explained the protocol today. My AMH is 10.94 .. Doctor says I will surely be in a hyper stimulation risk and they would do a embryo frozen transfer may be in my next cycle.
I don't think I've got a FSH test done.

D doc says that she wud have to see how I respond to meds n injs. She also said I will need more injs.
Let's c how it goes!!

Thanks a lot!!

Thanks!

Is your AMH in ng/ml or pmol/L? If the former then your AMH is super high! The good news is you'll probably get lots of eggs. The frozen transfer idea might not be that bad as long as you haven't had any lining issues in the past. GL!
