Is severe stress at work a day after FET bad?

Postby sophhie » Fri Feb 27, 2015 8:33 pm

Hi ladies,

I had my FET yesterday morning, I had a bed rest all day and today morning I went to work just to stress myself out because of a nasty coworker. My heart was racing and I was mad and tense all day long and I have been cramping all the time at work. Now I'm so upset about it. Could it prevent implantation? Was I cramping because of nerves? I had transferred a hatching blastocyst.

Thank you.
DH and me perfectly healthy

I am no expert... but I've seen this study: ... -with-ivf/ and a more recent one (but I couldn't find the link for the recent one for some reason) saying stress has no impact on IVF/getting pregnant. I know people say that it does a lot... but as this article points out, women get pregnant and have babies in wars and famines... hopefully one nasty coworker won't make a difference (sorry for that though!).

Good luck!!

I agree. Women get pregnant all the time in the midst of their stressful lives. Maybe your cramping is even related to implantation... fingers crossed for you! :babydustb: :babydustg:

I had a doctor tell me that stress does not prevent pregnancy and that - as the ladies above mentioned - women get pregnant all the time in highly stressful environments. Stress can delay ovulation, but you are past that point and being cared for! Wishing you baby dust.
