Hey all I have been MIA enjoying my new pregnancy. Had my first prenatal visit last Wednesday and baby looked great. I can't say how lucky I had been with no morning sickness yet :D

Anyhow the good didn't last too long, I ended up being taken by Ambulance to the hospital at 1am Saturday morning. I was having shortness of breath and abdominal pain. I thought for sure I was having a miscarriage :( . It was devastating.

After all the tests were done they found that I was in fact pregnant with twins. I had suspected from my high hcg levels but it was confirmed by my infertility MD a week prior and Ob just 2 days prior that I was pregnant with only one.

It turns out one baby made a home in my left Fallopian tube and finally it had ruptured and caused an internal bleed. That's the same tube I had removed by my previous Ob 2 years ago to avoid an ectopic pregnancy, yet the small piece of tube that was left behind is exactly where the baby made its home.

I had to have emergency surgery for the ectopic pregnancy and severe internal bleed. I'm finally home now and resting but I wanted to share with you all since it happened at such an unexpected time.

The baby in my tube didn't make it  but the baby in the uterus is fine. hoping it stays healthy through this all as I know emotionally and physically I am broken.

Hi all,
I'm back from my vacation and been busy all last week catching up at work.

Firstly, I have to give a *BIG* hug to both Nebraska and Zerb on their heart breaking news. No words, just big hugs and prayers for both of you. :hugs:

Congrats to issacsmum, ready for#2! So happy for you both.

Mini_ triplets! Can't say I'm surprised since they transfered 5, but, holy cow. Here's to a safe and healthy pregnancy.

Mrs hope, so glad your are ok. I'm always amazed at that modern medicine can do things like surgery even the patient is pregnant. I'm so glad you are well and happy thoughts that the rest of your pregnancy is w/o anymore scares!

Welcome to our two newbees too. AFM, I started estradiol IM shots on Friday and I'm away on business this week so I had to administer it myself in the thigh tonight. I iced my leg a bit prior so it didn't really hurt but watching that long needle go in was freaky! IM on track for a FET on the 8th, so naturally I indulged in wine and drinks on the vacay. It was a relaxing trip.

I apologize for not commenting on everyone's posts over the last 2 weeks, but I've enjoyed hearing how everyone is doing.

HOLY BALLS, MRS. HOPE!! I'm so glad both you and the baby are okay.

Herman, I hope your vacation was amazing! Gotta prep your mind as well as your body for the FET.

AFM, had a lining check and bloodwork yesterday: CD 13 and 8mm so everything looks good. I have my ERA biospy scheduled for Monday. Hoping it will provide some answers!

Hi everyone, hope you are all well. I had a phone conversation with my Doc yesterday regarding how many embryos we should transfer next week. There are 2 normal embryos so my gut feeling is to transfer both to maximize our chances. This is my 3rd cycle this year and it is taking a toll on me. Statistics are really good for a single transfer, but that is looking at the aggregate, (average) and as my doc put it, every woman is different so it's not as cut and dry as the stats show. As for now, im down right sick with a summer flu that I hope it passes rapidly b/c I feel terrible. pre ultrasound on Thurs and FET on the 8th.

Herman- I really think that if you feel like transferring more than one you should. Regret is a horrible thing. Do what your gut tells to you to do that way you have nothing to regret....best of luck the 8th is very close.

AFM-Tomorrow afternoon I have my first ultrasound to make sure my baby is growing in the right place.I am super nervous, but hope for the best.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Ready- how did the ultrasound

AFM...today is the day. We are transferring the 2 normal embies today. I'm still fighting a chest cold with a reticle cough, lucky for me, you can't just cough them out so I should be fine. My acupuncturist says immune suppression is good for ET because pregnancy is a state of immune suppression. Not sure if there any medical evidence to that, but I'll take it.

Anyhow hope you are all well.

Herman - I hope the ET went well today and I wish you and you embies the best of sticky luck this is :) Also, hope you have a fast recovery from the cold.

AFM- I had the ultrasound this past Thursday the 3rd and it was great. I have one baby growing in the right spot measuring at 6 wks 1 day. The heartbeat was 122. I read some stuff online about how if the heartrate is greater than 140 it tends to be a girls, and that if the heartrate is under 140 it tends to be a boy. I don't know how accurate that is, but it sure puts a smile on my face.

@ready- great to hear about your scan. I remember reading those things about heart rate bit as I recall my daughter had a low heartbeat until about month 6 so so knows. We kept it a surprise until she was born, hence the name Herman. Her or Man...that's what we called her until she was born, Herman. It was an inside joke to us plus we'd hey lots of funny looks when we'd tell people that was the name we picked out. We liked to mess with people.

AFM: 4dp5d and still have a cough. Spent the whole 1st night hacking all night so my thought if (when) its a BFP, these guys will be extra strong!
