Hi everyone, just had my ultrasound. 1 little munchkin, heart rate was 101. It is really early, 6 weeks 1 day so I'll have another one in 2 weeks. We are super excited. I really thought we'd see twins, but we are also not naive, a baby is a lot of work. Last time i was a stay at home mom for 18 months, this time I'm going back to work so twins would be very difficult. We are just happy there's one strong heart beat and everything is measuring right. Also very happy we transfered 2!

Nicole- waiting to hear your results. Be strong and answer the phone when the doc calls!

Hi guys

@baby thanks for your concern :)

@Herman- congrats, that is so good to hear! what a blessing :)

afm- unfortunately it was a negative for me:( it seems we have a quality issue... in my heart I knew this was going to be the case. As soon as I found out that none even made it to day 5 blasts or to freeze I just knew. The two they transfered the best one wasn't even quite a blast and the other was a morula... I would have been more surprised if they called and said it was positive. I am just scared. I am terrified that this will never work if I have crappy eggs. I'll be following along for the rest of you xo good luck guys!

:hugs: so sorry nicole. I hate hearing about failed cycles. Take as much time as you need to grief and be mad.
I know exactly how you feel when you talk about egg quality. We have had a similar issue with our egg quality as well. Last cycle, ivf#4 was the 1st and only time we've ever had eggs mature to blasts and frozen. If you are able to do another cylce, I would consider doing both acupuncture for a few months leading into and thru your cycle as well as taking DHEA and meletonin. All of those help tremendously during our last cycle. I took 75mg of DHEA starting the day I finished BC and 15 mcg meletonin. Acupuncturist focused on my thyroid and uterus. That was the only difference in our protocol and ended up with the most eggs ever, 15, all fertilized and 4 were able to be biopsied and frozen. That maximized our chances on this FET. Good luck to you.

@ herman- Thanks for the suggestions. I think I will be looking into the accupuncture, but I don't really feel comfortable using any extra supplements especially in conjunction with all of the hormones that we have to take during an IVF cycle.

@baby- all the symptoms I experienced were I guess related to the progesterone gel. I was crampy at first (felt like AF was coming), boobs swollen and hurt, bloated, I was also really hot all the time, and the last few days I was really moody and a little anxious. The only pro of a BFN is not having to take that crap anymore!

@sd- thanks :)

Babyluv- how are you doing? It's gotta be close to your beta, no?

Nicole- I hope you are feeling better.

Sd/tiff- how are you guys doing? I'm dealing with all day nausea and just threw up for the first time this evening, so I think my downhill slide is upon me. I'm away for work (I know a reoccurring theme, I travel a lot), so I'm taking advantage of being able to rest and be lazy in my hotel room. Tiff, when is your next u/s? Mine is next Saturday.

@Herman - I had an US today :) we saw 2 healthy hearts beating ♡ I was scared, and I didn't share this will you all, but first US, one sack had what they call a "Placental lake" around it, never heard of it, couldn't find good info on the internet for it occurring in early pregnancy. Essentially it is bleeding around the embryo. I was told to take it really easy the last week, no heavy lifting, not excessive stair climbing, etc... Doctor told me they would look today and see if bleeding increased or not. NO BLEEDING AT ALL, THANK GOD! 2 more weeks of US and I'll be released to an OB doctor. So taking it easy, but things are looking good!

@SD - can't wait to hear back on your US :)

I have been getting pretty nauseous in the evenings. I haven't thrown up, but I think feeling on the verge of puking is just as bad lol. My sister in law suggested peppermint tea, so I need to pick some up ASAP. Also, the last 3 days I've woken up with an unpleasant headache; aspirin does nothing for me!

oh, and lastly, my favorite part, I have been switched off my PIO shots, to Crinone! I couldn't take another shot, I've been miserable!

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your week, I'll be checking back in a few days :)

Good to hear from everyone. I'm living on Ginger tea and candied ginger (found in the baking aisle). Headaches are killing me too, but I'm just trying to stay hydrated.

Nicole- glad to hear you are looking to give it another go. Puppymom created an oct/Nov group already, several of the women on this feed are jumping over (beinganadult, 3dogs, etc).

Tiff- so glad the kiddos are doing well and no bleeding, that's awesome. I know it's super early, but please do as much research as possible about the type of birth you want. You have choices! Even with twins, you don't have to have a c-section especially if the babies are doing well and you are remaining healthy. Your don't have to be induced, you don't have to Just do your own research, don't just rely on your OB or the hospital protocol, be an informed consumer. Ok that's my soapbox. Women are strong....stay strong ladies!
