Re: What "risks" were you warned of?

Mama, your posts ar fine. I just think most of us were not warned of any risks. I know that I was not, other than the emotional effect of all the medications and the roller coaster from not getting pg. statistics were definitely thrown at me, but I think that has to with wanting us to not expect to get pg on the first try. I truly hope your DH comes around. Good luck to you.

I was warned of the risks of the hormones, and the statistics of success, but that was about it. Hope things work out for you. Deciding to go through with IVF can be a large commitment, but I felt it was manageable. My biggest challenges were traveling so far and frequently to my RE, and the emotional investment with the risks of heartache. The process itself was easier than I expected. I think you want to consider your risks, and weigh out if they are risks you and your DH are willing to take. Good luck to you. Maybe title a post about ttc in your 40's.... Maybe you will connect to more people that can relate and comment on your age related risks.
