Just had my 6.5wk ultrasound and we saw the heartbeat :hb: . I started crying hysterically, I couldn’t believe it. We never got to this point the last time so, now there’s no more comparing, this is a new pregnancy and we’ve passed our 1st milestone. Thank you lord! Baby measured to the date, we didn’t get to hear it but we sure saw it flickering away.

@ Nicole hurray for taking injections (things I never thought I would hear myself say). When is your next appointment? Sounds like you will have lots of follicles.

@Faith yayyyy for a heartbeat! I totally get you with the crying. Such special moments that I think you will treasure forever.

@BG how is it going with you? When is your next appointment?

@wram where are you in the process?

AFM I had another US today at 6 weeks and saw my little sweetpea. Didn't see the heartbeat yet but I also felt emotional just seeing this amazing miracle growing inside of me.

@Sa that's awesome, 6wks is still pretty early they grow so quickly so I'm sure you'll hear that heartbeat at ur next appt.

@Nicole how's the process going? When's ur retrieval?

@bg have you had a 2nd ultrasound yet? haven't seen any posts from you...

@jean when's ur next visit? The waiting is horrible..

AFM, I felt relief after my 1st ultrasound but now I am dying for my 2nd one this Friday at 8wks 1day... Time is going by soooo slow. I know this is a very critical time so, I'm trying to stay optimistic but it can be hard some days. I just wanna make sure my lil bean is still growing strong and healthy.

Btw, has anyone thought of buying a Doppler? I heard women have heard heartbeats as early as 7wks. I'm waiting till Friday to buy one but I'm totally getting it, I need the peace of mind.

Faith I think I remember reading somewhere that frequent use of a Doppler is not good for the baby I am not sure where but you should look into it.

My retrieval is tomorrow, I had a much better response this time around than last so I am really hopeful

It's really inspiring to hear about all of your ultrasounds and little heartbeats God bless :)

Hi Everyone! Such great news all around - it's so nice to read heading into the holidays!

Faith - I hear ya on the waiting. I am constantly looking ahead to the next appointment, and it feels like there's always another hurdle on the horizon. Lucky for you - it's almost Friday, and hopefully you'll hear that little heartbeat before you know it! I didn't cry when I saw the HB, but the Dr turned on the sound a moment later and the instant I heard it I burst into tears. So I guess prepare yourself for more of the same!

SA Mommy - When is your next appointment?

Nicole - I hope your retrieval went well! Looking forward to hearing from you.

I am trucking along over here at a little over 12 weeks. I went in last week for the coolest US yet (okay, I realize they will probably just get more amazing each time) because my little mover and shaker was feeling super active for some reason! The technician said, "Jeeze this baby is all over the place," and sure enough, she was kicking her legs, waving her arms, and bouncing around! It's so weird to see it right in front of you and yet not feel anything. My immediate reaction was to think that there's absolutely no way that's going on inside me right now, lol. Anyway, they measured her spine and took all sorts of blood work for the first trimester screening, and I'm waiting on those results. Was really hoping they'd call today but nothing yet. We ALMOST paid for the additional blood test that tells you the sex (I know I've said "she" multiple times, but that's just wishful thinking for now) - my husband was adamant about doing it, but the best estimate for cost was between $500 - $1200 and my doctor said it would take 2 weeks to get results. I couldn't stomach spending $1200 to hear the sex a mere 6-7 weeks early. If someone had been able to confirm it was only $500 I might have done it, but oh well. DH is going to have to tough it out.

We also finally told our families over Thanksgiving 2 weeks ago (yup - I kept it a secret until 10 1/2 weeks because I was so panicky!!!). As you can tell from the picture below everyone was pretty surprised, That's my mom on the left clearly jumping for joy, plus my father in law, step parents, sisters, & brothers-in-law.

@SA thanks !

@laney love the photo that is so great!

So we got 12 eggs from my ER, and 6 fertilized. Thats the same amount of embryos I had last time. Hopefully these ones are better quality. I hope we get to at least freeze some this time around. We are aiming for a 5 day transfer but they will let me know on day 3 if we have to come in or if we can wait till day 5. I always feel so down after the ET I don't know why, during the injection part I feel really really hopeful but then after ET i feel like blahh. I dont know if its the hormones or if its just the waiting and the fact that I am no longer actively participating in this. Now its all them and I feel so helpless!

Congrats @ laney! And fingers crossed for you @nicole! I had my FET today so I'm now officially in the wait once again. This time I'm gonna try my best not to even test until maybe the morning of blood test.
