Hi Evergreen. I tested this morning at 12dp3dFET and it was BFN. I had some spotting yesterday and the day before- like a dark brown mucus (TMI I know) and mild cramping. Sounds like AF is on her way :(

Hi Eavesjd,

I am sorry you are feeling this way. They say, you are not out until you see AF. I just pray you get different news from your beta on 3/5. You never know.

I am exhausted all the time. I am normally an active person but I could sleep all day. Got to see the heartbeat FINALLY! 160 BPM. Still not sick and outside of being tired. I feel great.

Thank, any word on anything?

Anyone else have any news??

Hi everybody-- sorry that I have been absent. I have been having a really rough week nausea-wise. Vomiting 4-5 times a day, having to work really hard to stay hydrated-- even plain water is hard to stomach. I weighed myself today and I'm 4lbs lighter than I was before I even got pregnant, which means I've lost 6lbs since the nausea started. My RE prescribed some anti-nausea meds for me, but they are still on order at the pharmacy-- hopefully they will come in tomorrow. I have an appointment with an OB tomorrow.

Thanks. They started me on Diclegis, which seems to be helping to control the nausea so far. Baby is doing really well; her heartbeat is strong and fast and she is growing.

I, however, am freaking terrified. The OB found a lump in my breast during my exam. I have an appointment on Thursday for a breast ultrasound. I'm angry at myself-- i do self exams, but somehow I didn't catch it. I'm really scared-- after all we've been through to get this far, and for the baby to be doing so well-- I don't even want to think about what kind of decisions we might have to make if it turns out that the lump is bad. Can't sleep, having a hard time even eating-- I wish it was Thursday already so I could have some answers, but also dreading what those answers might be.

Evergreen- I am so incredibly sorry. I can't even imagine what you're going through right now. How did your appointment go on Thursday? Fingers crossed, hoping, and praying for good results.

The appointment went pretty well; I have a tumor, but it looks benign, so we are going to monitor it for now rather than jumping straight to a biopsy. I also apparently have a bunch of cysts in my breasts-- it is pretty weird. I have an appointment for another ultrasound in a few months, and the OB is going to keep checking at every visit. I'm still worried, but I'm glad they didn't find anything that would require immediate action.

That is good -ish news. Do they think all the hormones and drugs from the IVF could be a contributing factor? That is a fear of mine. I know that all of the drugs increase my risk of certain cancers. Well at least everything is looking OK for you and your lil' one. :belly:

The doctors did seem concerned that the hormones may have caused the changes. I was told that even if there isn't cancer, the hormone fluctuations can cause changes in the breasts like cysts and benign tumors, so I really hope that is all that is going on-- I'd be happy with non-life-threatening hormonal weirdness. They did warn me that cancer during pregnancy tends to be more aggressive due to the hormone changes, so I am trying to keep a very close eye on things so that I can spot any changes.

My mother, it turns out, had a cyst that developed while she was pregnant with my brother when she was in her mid-30s, and she remembers that my great-grandmother had a similar problem with either a benign tumor or a cyst. I am hopeful that this is just how ladies with my genes react to getting pregnant-- my great-grandmother never developed cancer and lived to a normal age for her generation, and my mother is in her late 60s and is still very healthy.
