Freeze all cycle... Anyone?

Postby Tesskcmo » Sun Nov 01, 2015 9:13 pm

My RE said I have to do a freeze all cycle (my first ivf) because my progesterone level is high. Has this happened to anyone else? What were your results? How long did you have to wait before your FET?

Anyone else had to do a FET? How long after your ER did you have to wait to do your FET?

Hi Tesskcmo - I'm doing FET -- my RE recommends it for all patients and we did PGS testing and had to wait for results (which we received 7 days after ER). In terms of timing, we had our ER on 10/13. I was told that most patients get AF about 7-10 days after ER, and I got mine on 10/22 (so 9dpER). While waiting for AF, I ordered my FET medications, so I was ready to go once AF began. I went in on day 2 of my cycle (10/23) for an ultrasound & bloodwork - I started my FET medications that day. My RE wants his patients to be on the FET medications for 2-3 weeks before ET. We are scheduled for ET on 11/11, so total time for me was just under 1 month. I know that the amount of time between ER and ET can vary (i.e., I am doing a non-Lupron medicated cycle and did not do birth control prior to beginning my FET medications).

Has your doctor mentioned what the protocol will be for your FET yet?
Me: 28 (anovulation; PCOS)
DH: 28 (perfectly healthy)

They are going to have me start provera tomorrow. It's supposed to make me start my period in a few days. I had my ER today. She didn't really say what medications I would be taking to prepare for FET. I know for fresh cycles they do, endometrium and medrol. That's all I know so far.
