I'm sad to hear that, Danaa. I hope you change your mind because I think you have a lot to offer on this thread. If this truly is your last post, I wish you all the luck in the world. Thank you for being a part of our journey.

Danaa- I did not write what I wrote to make you leave the thread. And I just want to say that I was not offended by your comment at all- more-so that it just stung a little (as I said in my post). As this is a forum where we are able to speak our minds I thought it would not be a big deal if I let you know that your questions about the lack of eggs I retrieved just hurt a little bit. I didn't want this to turn into a whole big thing, honestly. I guess I just feel like most women on here who don't retrieve as many eggs as hoped or who have something bad happen during IVF are feeling down about it already and of course we have those same exact questions in our heads. I guess I just approach things differently and let people explain the why's or how come's on their own terms once they speak to the doctor more in depth or are not feeling as crappy about it. I know you did not mean to be malicious in any way and I'm sorry that you are so mad that you are leaving the thread. If you truly are leaving the thread, I wish you much luck in your IVF journey and hope you get your BFP very soon.
EOE- sorry that I seemed to have stirred the pot so much to make people leave. Sometimes I forget that this is not face to face interaction and that maybe the way something is written is not exactly how the person meant it to come off. I wish nothing but the best for all of us struggling with this journey and sincerely hope you all get your BFP's in the coming months!

I wasn't going to post anymore but I just want to make sure things aren't left like this,I prefer to post on my buddy groups where the girls know me(some for years)already and my way of posting,im not leaving Bcs I'm upset, believe it or not I still don't understand why my questions was upsetting and who knows what else I might post and you ladies find it offensive/rude/upsetting,that is the last thing I want to do.
There is no drama going on,maybe by announcing my leaving made it seem this way but I wanted to let you know and not just disappear.
Good luck to all of you!!

Hope you are all well. I think at times things get lost in translation in writing, especially when we are all dealing with so much emotion at the same time. I have found this forum an absolute life line during the last couple of years and appreciate you all so much - thank you for being here.
Run - I hear you on the waiting! That must be tough being and NICU nurse. I can only imagine the constant reminders and the unfairness of things sometimes. Hang in there - hopefully our timings line up.
Danaa - hope your meds are going well and all looking good for October 1st.
Staying - so happy for you on your transfer of your beautiful embaby. Happy thoughts now for 2 weeks.
I am still having ups and downs - obviously the whole IVF / chemical pregnancy affected me more than I realized. I am officially off to the doctor on Monday - DH has booked himself off for the appointment. Will hear what he says and make a decision from there but I am leaning towards doing round 2 on the next cycle if he agrees.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend and are happy rested wherever you are in your journey.

Hi Staying, was going to pop in and update you guys just ran out of time today!
My appointment went much better than expected though I was expecting the worst. First off my DH had he a massive and miraculous count boost! The doctor was quite amazed and it was just the best news for us. i had feared the worst on my egg quality but the doc says I actually have a very high ovarian reserve. There is still a question mark over what happened but it's unlikely to be the sperm. They want to do a laparoscopy on me as there may be mild endo. He says not serious, likely stress induced but of course they need to have a look. I can do another IVF right on the next cycle. So I'm happier. Sticking to my healthy plan and feeling so much more positive.
How about you - how are you feeling?

Me2 -- That's fantastic news! And, I'm so happy you can start again next cycle.
I start Lupron and baby aspirin on Thursday. Things are getting real again!
Have any of you ladies taken Lupron? Rumor has it that it's an awful drug. I guess we'll see...

Hello Run, that's exciting news!
No experience with Lupron I'm afraid but I hope it's not too bad.
Don't know about you ladies but I found the meds child's play compared to the emotional rollercoaster of waiting for each step.

Me2- great news about your DH's count boost! When is your Lap scheduled for? That is fantastic that you can do another IVF round with your next cycle. I'm so happy to hear that you are feeling better and much more positive. Wishing you so much luck this new cycle- when do you expect to get started?
Run- I know you must be so excited to get the ball rolling! I don't have any experience with Lupron so I can't comment. Let us know how it goes!
I agree Me2, the meds were not too bad. Although, I have to say I hate these progesterone suppositories! Just awful.

Hello Staying! I registered on the site to specifically ask you this question as I read that you did half ICSI and half natural. Did you ever find out what the success rate with either turned out to be for those eggs that fertilized? My husband and I are about to start IVF and are nervous about ICSI due to some medical literature related to risks. Understandably, IVF in itself carries risks, but as newbies we are nervous and possibly less informed. Would really appreciate your thoughts on your experience and decision making process. Thank you so much. Good luck with everything to you and everyone else on this journey.

Sorry my post might have been confusing! My lap is scheduled for 27 October - after my next AF. They have to do it that way to make sure you are not pregnant. Then I can do IVF number 2 in November on the next cycle - if it's endo of course and they can clean it up. My clinic closes over December so we would either have to squeeze it in or wait for January.
Staying - thinking of you today. Sending you all the good thoughts

Hi MGKS- Our original plan was supposed to be half ICSI and half natural petrie dish, however since I had such a low count from my egg retrieval my doctor ended up doing ICSI for all of them. I wish I could be of more help to you as I too, would have been curious to know what the ratio was. Wishing you so much luck on your IVF journey. All I can recommend is make sure that you feel comfortable with your doctor and that you trust them and ASK as many questions as you want. That is what they are there for. If you are nervous about ICSI let them know and hopefully they can help to put your mind at ease.
Me2- Ahh- that makes sense that you would have to go for Lap right after AF. November will be here before you know it. I have a feeling that this will be your cycle!!
Run- I hope you are doing okay and that the Lupron isn't treating you too bad!
AFM- My beta was yesterday. When the nurse called and said "Congratulations" I was in shock - all I could say was "are you serious?", Followed by "OMG, I don't even know what to say!!!". I was in so much shock that I never even asked her what my actual beta # was. Who does that? Haha. I was at work and on a conference call when she called so I couldn't even jump up and down or scream out loud. Well for now, we are still PUPO and I'm just really hoping this babe sticks around. I still can't believe it.
Have a great weekend ladies!!
