Ladies...I'm so bummed...I feel like there is just one hold up after the next in this process! While I know that I am fortunate to have had almost 100% insurance coverage up until this point, I am so frustrated because my insurance company literally just dropped my coverage. They dropped it without even telling me so I haven't been covered since 11/30. I went to the doc on 12/6 for a 10 minute appointment (thinking I still had coverage, seeing how they take the premium out of my account every month) and now that I don't..that appointment alone will cost me $300. I cant believe they charge $300 for a quick 10 mins to sign paper work..no blood work..nothing else! I know I shouldnt be complaining because I understand that many have to pay out of pocket for this treatment but we started this process in the first place because I was covered under my insurance, otherwise we could not have started it. I am in the middle of purchasing a business and not in a position to be able to put out that kind of money to finish my FET. Soooo anyway I will stop complaining now because I got new insurance..but it won't start until January 1st and my clinic wont proceed with this FET until they have authorization from the insurance so I am going to have to wait out this cycle and hopefully everything will be all set for my February cycle.

I hope all of you are doing well! Keep us updated with transfers/retrievals and anything else!!!

Aw Doodle, I'm sorry for the insurance stuff and the setback. A setback of any kind is a bummer.

Hi Waiting! Welcome and fingers crossed for your TWW!!!

Johnny, congrats on the transfer and fingers crossed for you as well this TWW!!

I just had my blood work and u/s for transfer, and if everything looks good, I'm still on schedule for Dec 21st! I feel like I'm not paying attention, or something, because no matter how much I try to remind myself that transfer is NEXT WEDNESDAY I can't get it to feel like it's coming up...still feels like it's "too far away to worry about"! My PIO should come today in the mail and I'll get my email letting me know what my blood levels looked like this morning in another hour or so. My family still thinks transfer is happening in early/mid January...I'm trying hard to keep it a secret, and hopefully surprise them with a New Years BFP instead!!!

Hello Ladies -- I thought I was going to have IVF in the fall but my RE's lab was shut down so we did one last IUI. I got pregnant but lost it early in the pregnancy. It was very difficult, but I'm slowly getting back to feeling positive about trying. I have just started birth control for my first round of IVF. I'm nervous. There is so much new information to take in. I'm a bit nervous about the shots -- not the pain but just making sure I'm doing it right. Despite all of the nerves, I'm hopeful that IVF will work for us. We're doing genetic testing and so it will be a long cycle. I'd appreciate any advice from those of you who are more experienced than I am!

Puddles-O-Cuddles -- thank you for your response. I saw in your signature that you're having a transfer today. Is that right? Congratulations on reaching this stage. I'll be thinking of you and sending sticky vibes!

Right now, I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by the medications and the uncertainties of the process. I think I'll have more specific questions later. For now, I am trying to get everything I need to ease the process. I've seen that some people recommend hot water bottles for the abdomen pre- transfer -- does this help with the pain from the shots? I've always had a pretty healthy diet -- we make most of our food from scratch and use mostly organic products, I only drink 1 cup of caffeinated tea each day, and I drink only rarely. Is there anything else I should consider?

Hey ladies! I hope you are all doing well! Although I am on hold due to insurance issues...I was expecting AF by 12/13. It is now 12/23 and still no signs of AF. I I got AF about 3-4 days after my retrieval but she hasn't been back since! I'm going onto cycle day 41!!! This is soooo strange to me because my periods are very regular and never late. Do you think my cycle is messed up from the Ivf process?! I have poas and they are all negative. What is going on?! Anyone else?

Puddles...how are you doing?!

Crumpet...I was so nervous and overwhelmed when my mess came in. The first night was a learning curve but felt much more comfortable after that. I iced the injection sight every night before the shot and literally never even felt the needle! I never tried doing it without ice so I have no clue if it just doesn't burnt in general lol. I don't know what mess you are on but I was on menopur which took a little getting used to. I am open to answer any questions you might have! Good luck.

Hi girls!
I did have my transfer on the 21st and it went well! I'm 2 days post transfer now and feeling pretty good, a few twinges and pinches, but mostly uneventful...enough symptoms and a lack of symptoms that, if they were happening to anyone else, I would say we're good things, but since they are happening to me, make me just a bit worried. Regardless...it will all unveil itself soon enough!!!

Crumpet, as for the meds...if they haven't already, most clinics will have you do a "Medication class" where they teach you how to do all the mixing and shots. This class should clear up most questions, but if more should come up, or if you want more practice, just ask one of your nurses. I'm convinced that (at least at the 2 clinics I've worked with) IVF nurses are the most amazing people who really just want to help and make sure you feel comfortable with the process. In reality, I've always found the "box of goodies" (aka Meds) that I've gotten each cycle is less scary that I'd anticipated. There are also LOTS of good YouTube videos for medication prep and administration by both patients and nurses. That would be a great start!!

Hey ladies! After a "squinter" this morning, I just wanted to share this picture with you all! This is an evening test from 5dpt...I know it's faint, but if my husband can see it, it must not be too hard to see : ) Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, everyone!

Good evening everyone! I am new here ☺️ My husband and I have been ttc for over a year now and no luck. We finally got to the point of ivf where we retrieved two follicles. Both follicles took and doctor said they were doing great. My doctor did the transfer of both follicles on day 5 which was Christmas Eve. I've been having white discharge does anyone know if that's good or do? I'm so nervous and hope this works for us! Praying for everyone here! Wishing everyone a happy new year!
