Postby Danaa » Wed May 31, 2017 2:56 am

Hello,my name is Dana im going to be 29 this summer and I'm getting ready for my third frozen transfer.
I had two successful transfer in the last year but both of them ended in losses,FET#1 mc around 5w
FET#2 I lost twin boys at 21+5 due to my cervix opening whiteout me feeling ANYTHING.
Im now waiting for 3cycles to pass so I can see my doctor and see if we can give it another try hopefully in September.
The reason we are having Ivf is because my tubes are shitty .

Hi,

I am planning on 2018 baby too. My transfer is scheduled for 6/13, so we would tentatively have a March baby I think. I started my protocol in April and seemed to take forever to get here. So sorry for your losses. Is there a particular reason they want three cycles? Just curius but understand if TMI.

Welcome Kylee, tell me more about your protocol!!Are you doing fresh or frozen? How many are you transferring?
Male or female infertility?!
I have to wait 3cycles for my body and my uterus to get back to normal, basically to recover after the loss.
From my point of view more nothing is tmi anymore.

Hi Danaa,

I am doing a FET cycle. I am doing one embryo. My doctor recommended it because the first was successful to term and my eggs are only 30. I had my lining check today and so far so good - 7.5mm+. I start progesterone tonight. I had a female factor and had my tubes removed for the best chance for implantation due to hydrosalpinx. My doctor said I am actually very fertile, just didn't have the mechanics. I don't know if you can see my siggy, but I produced a ton of eggs on the lowest dose protocol. We are hoping that our good luck continues.

Hey Kylee & Danaa,

Mind if I join you ladies? Just started stimming today, Menopur 75IU in the AM and Follistim 150IU in the PM. We're doing IVF with PGS in the next two weeks, then an FET sometime mid-July.

I believe at this time we are planning on only XFER'ing one at a time, but depending on the quality, who knows. I have APS (AntiPhosphlipid Syndrome), so we have to avoid multiples and a cesarean altogether. According to my OBGYN MFM, I'll need to be induced 2-4 weeks early to prevent deadly complications.

Ooo, Kylee! You must be getting so excited! Tuesday is so close!

Danaa - I've been in your shoes, hun. I lost MOMO twin girls at 12 weeks back in 2006 after my first IVF. We tried twice more (another IVF and an FET) and miscarried them as well. My marriage of 7 years fell apart after all the trauma. I have APS (a clotting disorder) that was full blown and was causing the issues. I'm in remission now, and remarried for 5 years to my soulmate. We are excited to be where we are, but I'm so scared and anxious.

Looking forward to the company. :)

Thanks for creating this thread Danaa!

My Backstory: I did a blood test before my husband and I even started to TTC in May 2016. I knew right away that I had DOR. We tried for about 3 months on our own before going to a Fertility Clinic. We did three IUIs and it turned out that I was very responsive to Chlomid. I got pregnant on my third IUI but it ended in MC. I started IVF over the winter. I had a cancelled cycle due to a dominant follicle and then a successful retrieval. We did PGS on three embryos that made it to day 6. 2 were normal. We decided that we should do another retrieval before doing a transfer to bank more embryos for later.

Now: on June 9th I started stimms for my second retrieval. We'd be happy with just one or two more normal embryos (more, of course, would be awesome!). We may do a transfer in July or August if this retrieval work out for us.

Its great to see all of you ladies here. Kylee -- good luck on your transfer. Its so soon!

Hey everyone,

Had my Day 4 blood work and ultrasound today. Estradiol is at 268 and I've got 14 follicles growing well. Our RE is happy with that. They're keeping me on 75iu of Menopur and 150iu of Follistim for the next few days. Next appt is on Friday, and they've got me starting Ganarillex on Thursday night with the Follistim.

Anyone else sensitive to the follicle growth? It's been super uncomfortable to sit down, mildly uncomfortable to lay down, and strangely only comfortable when standing - but not moving. When I sit in a chair, I lean all the way back with my bottom on the edge of the seat. I'm only 4 days in. It's only going to get worse as the days go on! : /

Danaa - Yes, I'll be on Lovenox most likely. It's a low molecular weight heparin that does not cross the placenta. I believe I'll be on it the whole pregnancy, then taken off during induction and delivery, then back on after delivery. My Dr.'s are worried about immuno-suppression withdrawal after delivery and my body throwing clots. I'm planning on breastfeeding, so thank goodness it doesn't impact that at all.

Kylee - How'd today go for you? How do you plan on spending the next 10 days of insanity - ahem - I mean... waiting? Do you knit or craft?

Crumpet - Looks like we're on the same schedule and both doing PGS! What's your protocol look like? Did you find out the genders of your frozen eggs or will it be a surprise?

Hi Ladies,

Transfer went well. The embie got stuck in the cathetar on the first try and they had to do it again. I hope that is a good sign. The RE was like you have a sticky embie. Bedrest yesterday, but so uncomfortable today. Bloated, tender abdomen, tired, no sleep last night, twinges, slight dull cramping and feeling full. I just think he/she is getting nice and snug. Anyone heard of embie sticking being a good sign?

Kylee, congrats on your transfer. I'll be thinking of you.

Rose and Danaa -- I'm sorry that you both have to be on Innohep -- its injectable, right? The needles get old after a while!

Rose -- My protocol is a micro flare, which means lots of shots! Its going okay, but my stomach is getting tired of it. I won't end up growing a crazy amount of follicles, but I do get really bloated and that's not fun. I did get the genders of my blasts. I have a boy and a girl so we can still decide if we want to be surprised!

Danaa -- do you have an update about when you'll do your transfer?

Hi Everyone

Danaa: How are you doing? When is your transfer?

Crumpet: how is your cycle going?

Rose: In my fresh cycle, i felt everything. I had 36 follies!! I gained weight and was completely sore. I just kept thinking about the end result.

AFM: Well, I am 4dp5dt. So effectively 9 DPO if the embie was frozen on the 5th day or 10 DPO if frozen on the 6th day. I have not yet tested. I didn't do any triggers so I don't have to worry about any false positives. I have been constantly bloated and pretty uncomfortable. My lower abdomen feels full and kinda heavy. I had a lot of twinges and some cramping 1dp5dt and 2dp5dt but nothing really since. I have a few little cramps when I do too much. Yesterday I was completely exhausted by 8 even though I did not get out of the bed until closer to 6:30 a.m. That is late for me. All in all, I am very hopeful and optimistic and try not to worry too much. I think he is getting nice and snug in there and I'm just hoping he will stay. Something is telling me that my little embie is a boy and so I refer to the embie as him. I hear boys can be difficult pregnancies so I hope he doesn't give me too much trouble. I plan on POAS's tomorrow for father's day but I'm scared to as well. I do not want to get a BFN and spend the rest of the day sad.

AFM -- I'm going to trigger tonight and my retrieval is scheduled for 8:40 am on Tuesday. I'm looking forward to being done and hope we get 1 (or more, pleas more!) good ones after they grow them for 6 days and do the PGS. There's so many steps to this process!

Hey everyone,

My last two appointments have gone well. On Friday my Estradiol lvl was 905, progesterone >1, and I had 21 follicles. Today I went in and my Estradiol lvl was 1930, progesterone >1, and I had 23 follicles! The Dr.'s decided to let me go for one more day of stims and come back Monday morning for more labs and blood work. Tomorrow, FOR SURE, I'll be triggering in the PM and my ER (egg retrieval) is set for Wednesday morning. My RE is hopeful that we'll get at least 8 eggs of mature size.

Moving around has been tough these last few days. I'm never comfortable. I'm so bloated that I can't fit in my pants. I went to H&M today to buy leggings and joggers just so I can wear something besides pajamas. My RE says that by the time we're ready for retrieval, each of our follicles will be about the size of large grapes. I have 11 large grapes on my left ovary and 12 large grapes on my right. My ovaries went from being the size of kiwis to the size of GRAPEFRUITS. THEY ARE VISIBLE FROM THE OUTSIDE. I REPEAT. WE HAVE A VISUAL ON MY OVARIES.

I'm also incredibly sore from all the shots and I hate the Ganirelix with a passion. My RE says it's the preservative they use that makes it sting. It literally burns a path from the injection site up my ribs and into the side of my breast EVERY.SINGLE. TIME. And the needle is larger and definitely has more of a "puncture and POP" feel to it. I am SO relieved that tonight was the last one. This is not my first rodeo folks. I don't remember being this uncomfortable 11 years ago. I've gotten crankier in my old age. Well, at least now we get to switch to IM (Intra-muscular) Pregnyl for my trigger and then progesterone IM injections after transfer! Whee! Ain't life grand?

Kylee - I'm definitely keeping positive thoughts. I found myself talking to my 23 half-babies today. I apologized for the cake I had for breakfast (that was quite gastrically upsetting for them) and we chatted about the heat. They at one point thanked me for wearing a dress and not squishing them all day in my skinny jeans.
My, my, you are a trooper! I would NOT have the patience to wait to POAS. 10DPO is a wee bit early, so I understand your hesitancy. I have heard of women who don't get a positive until 14 - 16 DPO. Fingers crossed for you! (But OMG do tell us if it's good news!)

Crumpet - Ooooo - so jealous. I was supposed to trigger tonight and be RIGHT THERE WITH YOU on Tuesday morning. The lure of more viable embryos if we waited just one more day was too tempting. We will be certified pin cushions by the end of this endeavor. I see no end to the poking any time soon. May your retrieval be fruitful and your recovery kind.

Danaa - Yaknow, if the blood thinners get us what we want in the end, I'll do it happily and only complain occasionally.

Hey Ladies,

Heres a quick update.

4dp5dt - POAS and got kind of a squinter, after no hold in the afternoon,

5dp5dt - POA in the afternoon, no real hold but didnt POAS enough amd had die run. My boobs got really sore and an extreme case of exhaustion early in the evening. Some dull cramping and low back pain.

6dp5dt: I took another test this morning, FMU, faint line - no squinting - pops up with first minute. I dipped the peestick instead of holding but didnt dip full time frame. These are all blue dye tests so i know I need a FRER to back this up. I cant load pics yet because they are too big. When line up, they show a progression. I never tested early before so im nervous about catching a chemical. I didnt test until 8dp5dt with daughter. Wish me luck ladies. My beta isnt until Thursday.
