MG- That is amazing! Sending positive vibes your way! I'm with panda, grow embies grow!!! :)

panda- aw hun I'm sorry, I hope like what happened with MG, you get better news then expected. Praying for you and hoping for good news to come from you :) Also, thank you for much for the info on the BCP, I had no idea. You have made me feel so much better. You guys are teaching me a lot.

Danna- I do have a high BMI unfortunately, but I have been busting my butt to shed as much as possible. I completely changed what I eat and drink and have been trying to at least exercise 30 minutes a day but its hard working full time and going to school at night. UGH being chubby stinks! lol But what I don't get with the nutritionist is why it is mandatory to proceed and why they didn't originally tell me that. I literally call my nurse Nurse Ratchet because first she was telling me I wasn't calling in enough to check in and now I'm calling everyday and she is giving me attitude. I just dont feel like I am getting much help or support from them.

My update: I went to my nutritionist appointment this morning and the woman actually said that I have improved so much with my meals and cutting my sugars the only thing she told me to do is try to exercise more and not eat Special K cereal every morning because it is "high" in carbs :/ geez, a girl just cant win sometimes lol She told me to do my Nutribullet shakes for breakfast instead or eat eggs.

My Anesthesia consult is tomorrow afternoon, after that appointment they nurse said I will be all set with the paperwork and appointments and she will submit to Insurance. So the countdown begins. Hopefully my suppression check with be Sept 18th. Fingers crossed.

Hello everyone!

So, it's visibly positive!!! I'm 10dpo today and this was taken this evening with about a 3 hour bladder hold. The one I took this morning was still not quite dark enough to be picked up on my camera. I'll be using an FRER in the morning instead of the Wondfo cheapies. My SO actually agreed that there is a line! SO excited for my beta on the 3rd!!!

mglupe - I'm so happy that your little embryos are doing so well!

bbelanger - I was on Keto for a while and it was crazy how it changed my view on food. You never really realize how much sugar you actually eat in a day. Carbs=sugar. Eggs with bacon and lots of green leafy salads, peanut butter, coconut oil, meats, and dark chocolate are your friend!!! I lost weight fast on that diet and felt AMAZING. I'm planning on going back on it after I stop breastfeeding to get my body back. :)

panda - don't lose hope yet. With betas like yours, the odds are in your favor. Do please keep us posted. :hugs:

Danaa - Thanks for being so supportive of everybody here while you're waiting for your time to come. <3

Hi ladies acupuncture went well!!! I was told I have poor digestion, hot blood and I'm incredibly overworked. So I need to eat healthier, go to bed earlier and slow down with work and daily life circumstances. My acupuncturist also said that I need to stop putting all my energy into carrying to term because its causing stress as well.
I'm excited to try and get started again! I just want to carry to term.

Good morning, ladies
I hope you don't mind me joining this group 7 pages in :) I've read all the way through and should be caught up (Hi Nicksy, MG, BBe!)
I thought I would introduce myself and come back for personals later: I'm 29 and my DH is 30. We've been TTC since January 2016 with all BFNs. We went through a lot of testing with our first RE and found that I have a low AMH for my age (with normal AFC and FSH) and my husband has low morphology. We since moved and went to a new RE who is worried that I have poor ovarian reserve AND likely poor quality as I spot before my periods and my cycle lengths have been more erratic of late (22-31 days). We decided to skip IUI and go right for IVF!
We have an orientation appointment next week. I'm nervous about the financial aspect - we live in a province in Canada where there is no IVF funding so it's all out of pocket, and my insurance specifically says "will not include fertility drugs"... oh well! When I think about finally meeting our first kiddo it makes all that other stuff fall away.
I'm a bit nervous to get started as I know it would be disruptive for my work but what can we do? I think this will be another super short cycle as my boobs hurt already so I'm hoping that timing works well with starting IVF!
TTC #1 since January 2016!
Me (29): probable diminished ovarian reserve
DH (30): slightly low morphology
IVF#1 micro dose lupron Sep/Oct 2017 - pregnant!

Good evening, ladies :)

Danaa - I've seen your posts for a while, I was a long time lurker. I cannot imagine what losing your precious boys has been like for you. I so admire your willingness to share your journey with all of us. Are there certain activities that you find particularly helpful as you go through this process? I've tried meditation but it's hard to keep regular with it.

Johnnyswifey - I'm so glad to hear that acupuncture is helping! What is it like? Does it hurt at all?

Rosy - woooooohooooooooo!!! hold on there, little bean!! I cannot wait to see your beta :) I have the same brand of ICs and I have to say seeing two lines on there looks FANTASTIC

MG - great update about your little embryos!

BB - great work with your diet and exercise! The ball is rolling! You're on your way!

Panda - I am keeping my fingers & toes crossed for you :)

Rosy, woohooo, congrats!!!! Awesome news.

BBe, glad I could help, and glad to hear that the dieting is going well. I know its so hard. I hope nurse Ratchett doesn't drive you too crazy.

MG - any updates? Your embies are doing so well, I'm so excited. Are you doing a fresh transfer?

Beth - welcome, I live in Canada too :)

Johnny'swifey - glad to hear the acupuncture and Chinese medicine is going well. There are so many studies and so much evidence backing up the efficacy of acupuncture for fertility treatments, it sounds like a very promising addition to your regimen. I have the same question as Beth tho, is it painful at all?

Danaa - thank you as always for keeping me in your thoughts :)

AFM - I'm still pregnant... symptoms are coming and going. Mostly I don't feel anything. POAS now coming up as strong positives but at this point it's hard to tell what's going on using at home pregnancy tests. I have an u/s scheduled for Sept 12 which will be exactly 7 weeks, if I make it that far. I'm trying hard to be positive but it's so hard.... I might try to convince my clinic to let me go for a 3rd beta next week to make sure that everything is still on track at least with the HCG.
Me 41, SO 46

IUI #1 - 8/2015 - BFP but miscarried
4 more IUI's in 2016, all BFN

IVF - ER 3/3/2017 - canceled cycle (partner couldn't produce sperm - almost killed him)
9 eggs frozen
5/2/2017 - 6 eggs made the thaw and all fertilized
5/7/2017 - 1 embryo transferred - BFN
2 frosties remaining

7/22/2017 - natural BFP - chemical
8/21/2017 - another natural BFP :omg:

Hi ladies. Most people say it doesn't hurt, but honestly it's more of a nagging feeling when entering the skin- moreso like a really quick pinch; and that's only in the more boney areas of the body. But once they allow your body to rest with the needles in, the most relaxing feeling comes over you!!! I fall asleep every time!!!

Hey Everyone,

I went for my beta as soon as the lab opened this morning. They only do half days on Sundays and my RE (who is scheduled this weekend) said if I wanted the results today to make sure I go in early, so I arrived 5 minutes before they unlocked the door at 8am, lol. The look on the tech's face was like, "The f@%k? This lady is cray cray." But,when he learned that I was getting a beta HCG and progesterone, he nodded with understanding, winked, and said he'd "push it through". Well, he certainly did. I got a phone call from my RE at 8:52am with the results. She was very happy with the them and said it was a good sign.

My beta at 10dp5dt (or 15dpo) is 263. :omg:

I go for another on Tuesday AM at 8am again, then I'll got for an ultrasound at 6 weeks! We are super stoked! We get the progesterone results back on Tuesday as well.

Johnnyswifey - I've tried acupuncture before - it wasn't for me (too uncomfortable for my body), but I've heard that is really helps with fertility.

MgLupe - 5 embryos! Yey! Are you having PGS testing done too?

Panda - I'm looking forward to reading about how your ultrasound goes. That 3rd beta would definitely be mind-easing.

Beth - I 2nd what Danaa said - it's all worth it in the end and it won't matter what it took to get there. We are using the most modern science to make our dreams come true. We had to pay out-of-pocket to the tune of $23,000 USD when all was said and done. This includes medications and all procedures.

Rosy - EXCELLENT NEWS - it seems like the phlebotomists are used to women being really excited to get their betas and progesterones done. I would've been there just as early as you - maybe holding my requisition up so he could see it and tapping on the glass hahahah - I'm really excited for you. And you're right, science is amazing and it will be well worth it. We're thinking of doing a round and leaving our embies on ice for a bit while we figure out a few career things. We've been advised to do genetic screening and probably will...

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!
