After IVF

Postby KTMay » Thu Nov 02, 2017 12:53 pm

Hey Ladies!
So I had my IVF transfer on 10-16-17....It's now 11-2-17 and my stomach is extremely swollen.
We did get a BFP (WOOHOO!!!!) but I know it is extremely too early to be showing.
I have called my RE and she said it's normal but I'm not so sure anymore.
I have been having issues breathing, like I can't get a deep breath, and I am extremely uncomfortable!
Normally, I would believe the doctor and go with the flow, but it seems like it is swelling more and it's higher up now than it was, and of course it's worse after I eat....anything (big, small, heavy, or light), I bloat more.
Have any of you ladies had this before, or anything similar?
ANY help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks Ladies!!!!

Was ur transfer after the egg retrieval?it sounds like you might have OHSS wich can be dangerous and ur doctor shouldn’t be ignoring these symptoms.

Hi! Sounds strange. I don't know about the exact swings, but the rest could be your body adjusting to the change in hormones. I've always felt like cr*p - physically and emotionally for the 2 or more weeks or so after doing IVF. It's definitely worth consulting your Dr. Would love to read any update. Hope this message finds you heavily pregnant

Hey there. I hope you're well. I don't think it's much of a problem. You just need to stay calm. It's okay to have such questions. Just keep the faith. Don't lose hope, it'll be fine!

Oh wow. Many congratulations to you. This sounds super cool. I have not had such experience. But it seems like a hormonal change. It might take a little time to get adjusted to it. I think there is nothing much to worry about. Have you had any checkup from your doctor? What did she say? Is there anything to worry about? I hope all is well. I pray that you have a safe pregnancy. Don't get worried much. Stay relaxed. It is necessary for you and your baby's health. Wish you a good luck. Much love for you.

Gracious stunning. Numerous congrats to you. This sounds super cool. I have not had such understanding. However, it appears like a hormonal change. It may require a little investment to get changed in accordance with it. I think there is not a lot to stress over. Have you had any checkup from your specialist? What did she say? Is there anything to stress over? I trust everything is great. I ask that you have a sheltered pregnancy. Try not to get stressed much. Remain loose. It is essential for you and your child's wellbeing. Wish you good fortunes. Much love for you.

I have read all the story your post is very motivational and hopeful. I will go through surrogacy soon. I am in contact with Europe for surrogacy. They have told me that they will do all the legal procedure for our upcoming baby. They will help us deal with all legal complexities. I am very excited to have my own biological child. I hope the process goes smoothly. I want to have my child in my arms. Good luck everyone. Pray for me.

Hello there, how are you doing? Sorry to hear about your condition. You need to consult a good doctor soon. I am also an infertile. I chose surrogacy. I got opted from a clinic of Ukraine. They had the best facilities and trained staff. My treatment goes well. I think you should consult them for better treatment. Hope your issue will be solved soon. Take care

Hey, have you tried ob? I am really sorry for your condition. IVF does have a few side effects on the human body. I think if a doctor does it carefully then it is much safer. I suggest you take care of your self. First things first, visit a doctor. Professional help is always the best. Sending my wishes!

Hey! How are you? IVF is a little-complicated procedure. I don't mean to demotivate you but the first round isn't successful for everyone. I am 38 years old and have been through one failed IVF cycle. I really hope yours is successful. It's painful but worth it. My doctor was very qualified but we had to stop because of my diabetes

Hi! Embryo transfer usually takes place two to six days after egg retrieval.
You might be given a mild sedative. The procedure is usually painless, although you might experience mild cramping. (The doctor or nurse will insert a long, thin, flexible tube called a catheter into your vagina, through your cervix and into your uterus. A syringe containing one or more embryos suspended in a small amount of fluid is attached to the end of the catheter. Using the syringe, the doctor or nurse places the embryo or embryos into your uterus.) If successful, an embryo will implant in the lining of your uterus about six to 10 days after ET. After the procedure you can resume your normal daily activities. However, your ovaries may still be enlarged. Consider avoiding vigorous activity, which could cause discomfort.
Typical side effects include: Passing a small amount of clear or bloody fluid shortly after the procedure. Due to the swabbing of the cervix before the embryo transfer. Breast tenderness due to high estrogen levels. Mild bloating. Mild cramping. Constipation. If you develop moderate or severe pain after the embryo transfer, contact your doctor. He or she will evaluate you for complications such as infection, twisting of an ovary and severe ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. Hope ET will pass well for all the IVFers. Take good care of yourself and good luck!
