Starting IVF after laparoscopy/hysteroscopy?

Postby hmContine16 » Mon Nov 13, 2017 9:31 am

Hoe soon can you start stimming for IVF after a hysteroscopy to remove a small septum and laparoscopy to remove any endo? My doctor said 2 months but I'm just wondering what other people's experiences were.. My surgery is scheduled for 11/16 and I'm hoping to start stimming in January. Thanks!
Me & DH - 08/14/2016

DX-DH: Azoospermia (0 sperm count in 2 SAs)
DH started Clomid in 08/17 - sperm found in 11/2017!! (800,000 per cc)
IVF planned for January 2018!

I think it depends on the doctor and how well you feel after the surgeries but no less than two cycles for sure.Your body needs time to recover and prepare for a future pregnancy.
Good luck to you!

I had 2 lapos. Actually they brought no good, as my endo kept on coming back each time. Second time I had my lapo on April and was advised June/July to cycle. We cycled in July. I think less than 2 months is too soon. But cases differ. If your consultant says ok then go for it. I was still getting niggles after my cyst was removed. Wish you best of luck :hugs:
