IVF. Is it worth of trying and where?

Postby YasminMacieira » Thu Dec 21, 2017 8:40 am

We really want children with my husband, but half an year ago an obstacle appeared - I had cysts removed along with the ovaries. So I can not conceive a child, still is able to carry and give birth. Please, advise, is it worth of trying IVF and where?

The chances of such a procedure are pretty decent

If there appears the obstacle, then you should definitely consult a fertility specialist. I always keep saying you'd better do it sooner than later. Because time never plays on our side in a fertility journey. I'm 40 yo now. Dx: endo and PCOS. We passed 2 unsuccessful ivf with oe which resulted in BFNs. Though tried to change the matter for better passing 2 lapos. Their results didn't pass long. My endo came back again and again. I'm sorry if my post upsets you, this is not what I actually meant. I want to say, I really regret we didn't start struggling earlier. You know, when you think, it'll just wait. But it won't. It's always worth trying to search the options for every other case and become happy. Also lots of places, clinics, centers whatever which deal with ivf treatments. You should just make researches. Ladies here are lovely, willingly share their experience. Wish you all the best of luck :hugs: Take care x

Hi there hope you are in good health. It's sad to know that you are not able to conceive naturally. Infertility is a really hard phase of couple's life. Every couple loves to have kids. God tests their loved ones. It's great that you didn't give up and now you had decided for IVF. These procedures are really helping women out there. There are decent chances of this procedure. You didn't mention your age here as in IVF success rates matters from ages to ages
IVF consists of cycles and its a really time-consuming process. You need to courageous to face all this. I would request you to please mentally prepare your self for everything.
If things didn't work out in IVF then there are other options too like surrogacy.
So need to be worried, Things will be alright soon.
These treatments are not less than blessings of science. We don't have enough words to thank Science for all these treatments
Good luck. Our support is always with you. Keep smiling ❤

I am in the same condition. Well, I had a hysterectomy. It was because of endometriosis. According to my experience, I wouldn't suggest IVF. See, it's risky to conceive when you're already experiencing problems with reproductive organs. It's going to waste money, time and health (in most cases, not all). I would say, go for surrogacy.
