IVF. Is it worth of trying and where?

Postby YasminMacieira » Thu Dec 21, 2017 8:40 am

We really want children with my husband, but half an year ago an obstacle appeared - I had cysts removed along with the ovaries. So I can not conceive a child, still is able to carry and give birth. Please, advise, is it worth of trying IVF and where?

The chances of such a procedure are pretty decent

If there appears the obstacle, then you should definitely consult a fertility specialist. I always keep saying you'd better do it sooner than later. Because time never plays on our side in a fertility journey. I'm 40 yo now. Dx: endo and PCOS. We passed 2 unsuccessful ivf with oe which resulted in BFNs. Though tried to change the matter for better passing 2 lapos. Their results didn't pass long. My endo came back again and again. I'm sorry if my post upsets you, this is not what I actually meant. I want to say, I really regret we didn't start struggling earlier. You know, when you think, it'll just wait. But it won't. It's always worth trying to search the options for every other case and become happy. Also lots of places, clinics, centers whatever which deal with ivf treatments. You should just make researches. Ladies here are lovely, willingly share their experience. Wish you all the best of luck :hugs: Take care x

Hi there hope you are in good health. It's sad to know that you are not able to conceive naturally. Infertility is a really hard phase of couple's life. Every couple loves to have kids. God tests their loved ones. It's great that you didn't give up and now you had decided for IVF. These procedures are really helping women out there. There are decent chances of this procedure. You didn't mention your age here as in IVF success rates matters from ages to ages
IVF consists of cycles and its a really time-consuming process. You need to courageous to face all this. I would request you to please mentally prepare your self for everything.
If things didn't work out in IVF then there are other options too like surrogacy.
So need to be worried, Things will be alright soon.
These treatments are not less than blessings of science. We don't have enough words to thank Science for all these treatments
Good luck. Our support is always with you. Keep smiling ❤

I am in the same condition. Well, I had a hysterectomy. It was because of endometriosis. According to my experience, I wouldn't suggest IVF. See, it's risky to conceive when you're already experiencing problems with reproductive organs. It's going to waste money, time and health (in most cases, not all). I would say, go for surrogacy.

Well, ladies might be right here. Judging from my last egg retrieval we got the following results:
Eggs retrieved - 20. Fertilized - 10. Embryo quality - a mix of As, Bs & Cs.
About me: 40 yrs old, dx: endo & PCOS.  Made 2 lapos - no actual result. Have left ovary removed with lapo.
I'm pointing out that with those numbers we failed to get prego 2 ivf cycles in a row. We did 5 day transfer with 2 nice blasts each time, but just failed. This time we're moving on with donor egg which is quite challenging for us. You know the idea of having another woman involved into making OUR baby just hurts. Since we haven't been successful throught the previous fresh oe cycles, we decided to sign for 5 shot guaranteed program. In case of failure they refund money back. I'm glad to have this back plan so that if things go wrong we could spend sum of money on any avenue we want. I guess surrogacy is the last thing we count on. Putting hopes into de ivf rounds first.
Be blessed, honey, and keep posting here please.

Hey! So sorry to hear about your situation. It's really critical, Virtual Hugs to you lady.
I feel for you. Its tough not being able to conceive.
I just have no idea whether to say this or not, But since you are having problems with conceiving then it won't be preferable for you to have IVF. I mean IVF is itself a complex process and you would spend so much money knowing that you are not good to conceive.
I mean that's not logical. That's really not.
Why don't you look for surrogacy procedure? I mean by that you would have a biological link with the baby and there would be a woman who would carry a baby for you.
That's completely up to you. But that's what I believe.
Wish you Good luck.

Hey! Hope so you are doing good. I just read your post. I really felt sorry to know that you are unable to conceive naturally. But don't worry. Almost every 6th couple is dealing with such issues. It is the part of life and you have to face it. IVF seems good for you. I recommend you to choose the quality clinic. It would be good for you.
Wish you best of luck.
All the best

Hey! Hope so you are doing good. I just read your post. I think you should look some clinic abroad. there are some clinics in Europe that are specialized for IVF. They also provide their customers with gender selection for IVF. I have also got many great reviews about them. That's my opinion.
My sympathies

I am so sorry. I know I cant feel your pain. But I know how painful it is. I will suggest you go to some fertility clinic. I think the doctor can advise you in the better way. If you are still confused to make a decision. I think you should go for surrogacy instead of IVF. Because IVF could be a painful process for u. As you have faced a lot of problems. I don't want you to face some others. But the choice is all yours. Go to online forums of different countries and check their fertility clinics. Make sure you do a proper research. One of my friends chooses Lotus clinic in Ukraine for her IVF. But her clinic was not satisfactory at all. They didn't cope her in a good way. That's why I am suggesting you do proper research before leaving. Best of luck.

Just a quick update. I've written before we passed 2 failed fresh oe cycles. No luck ever, nor the faintest bfp sign..We had to move on with donor egg as my eggs were said to be useless for another cycle. We've been recently through this de ivf cycle. Got bfp 12dpo. We did transfer with 2 nice 5day blasts. One vanished unfortunately. I'm in the 1st trimester oficially. Waiting for the safe 12 weeks stage & all the following mons smooth & healthy :belly: Babydust to all!

IVF will be worth trying if you are healthy. If your body is able to conceive. Then you should go for IVF. Otherwise, it's just a waste of time and money. You should be careful while choosing a clinic. There is a good clinic in Europe. They are best in dealing with fertility issues. I must recommend to you there. On the other hand, there are worst clinics also. Adonis clinic in Ukraine is one of them. Don't get your any treatment of infertility from there. Surrogacy will be the best option for you. The clinic in Europe is best in dealing with surrogacy. You must go there. I wish you a bundle of happiness. Till then best of luck.

That's the best advice anyone could give. I just came across to your comment and found this so right. Because even I am the one who has heard some of the bad reviews about Lotus clinic. And was so discouraging to hear that even there does exist some of the fertility clinics that never care about the emotions of their patients. We put so many hopes on one clinic and they make us go through all such that we never imagined before.
Even I won't recommend this clinic. I do trust the number of women's asking others that there is some mess happening inside. No one would like to spend their money and emotions over some worthless thing.

Hey, I am sorry to hear about your condition. IVF is different for every individual. It all really depends on your condition and your hormone levels. However, it has proven to be successful for many couples. For IVF the thing that matters the most is a good doctor. Make sure whichever specialist you visit he/she has a high success rate. They should at least be above the average. Best of luck sending baby dust your way.
-Low AMH and High FSH
-Poor Ovarian Reserve
-5 IUIs (failed)
-1 IVF (failed)
Life is a total mess
