The crazy stories of your IVF journey

Postby Hopefulrosey » Tue Mar 13, 2018 3:57 am

Hi fellow IVFers,

I am curious and would love to hear your stories about the crazy / funny things you did during your IVF cycle(s) - something you might never do ordinarily - to either reduce stress, boost your chances or just because your heart told you to do so. Thought to have a thread with a lighter topic, if it can make some of us smile

I will get the ball rolling... I named my embies soon after the transfer :shh:  I did not know their gender so but my heart made me believe that the best growing one was a girl and the slower ones were boys (reverse sexism?? ).
I talked to them everyday. My husband thought I had lost it. But I still cherish that 2ww with my embies.

What about you? :D

Babydust and all the best to you

Danaa, wow the other O before transfer? Seeing from your signatures all of your transfers led to BFP. So it must have worked. A good 'thing to try' before my next transfer.

Yep,all bfp.I don’t know if the orgams helped or not but it was definitely worth a try.

lol, such a lovely thread :)
my only crazy (if at all) stories are the tantrums i throw on my DH and all the little errands i make him run (out of sheer laziness!) hot water bottles, back massages, etc etc !
Have just started talking to my embies.. hmm would be nice to give them names :D..

Thank you, ladies for appreciating the thread. With all the ttc and ivf stress, it helps to have lighter topics to our lives (and this forum). Something to smile about.

Gem, you are right. Tantrums are rather a norm LOL. I remember I was mad at my DH after retrieval because he bought me a chocolate cake. I questioned our entire relationship just cause he bought a cake I normally don't eat. The big question 'Chocolate cake?? do you even know me????' LOL

Thank for sharing your story. I was also unable to conceive naturally. It was really difficult for me. It broke me completely. But my DH was very supportive. He helped me in that difficult situation. Then we searched a lot for other options. We decided to go for IVF. I was lucky enough to be successful on my first attempt. I enjoyed my pregnancy period a lot. It was the most amazing expereince. I still remember everything the same. :) Now my bay is 8 months old. She is very active and nice. we love her so much.
That's all about m. Much love to you.

Hahahaha, OMG I am laughing so hard. You are so funny, honey. Oh, that rhymes too :P Well my IVF will start next week. You sure gave me some tips. I am gonna name my embryos too. You know I have heard being happy helps a lot. It improves your chances of having a successful cycle. I am sure you will have success.BTW I loved how you decided between the genders.Girl power all the way. Another piece of advice is to have a healthy diet. Do some exercise. Tell the embryos I am gonna tilt you upside down. *WINK WINK*
