Embryo adoption

Has anyone here had any luck with getting pregnant using a donor embryo? If so, where did you get it from and how long was the wait to get one?

I personally haven't but I know some girls who did and got pregnant. They say the implantation rates are similar to when using your own eggs.

For the other questions, it really depends on in which country you are and how are the laws. I am in South Africa and it is a quite simple and quick procedure here. Maybe mention your country here and someone can help?

Thanks for responding. I am in the USA. I have an appointment today with a new RE that supposedly has embryos available for adoption/donation. I am hoping the waiting list isn't too long as I am already 41.

I am actually going to be opting for the DE option. After an IVF cycle that failed I have decided to take a break. My family, however, decided to keep on searching for a better clinic. This was mainly because we all believed that my IUI and IVF cycle failed because of the previous doctor. Recently we came across a clinic that had a really good positive feedback. So now we are in contact with them. During this search, I met a lot of people who had done through IVF with DE and all had positive thoughts on it. So I would suggest you go for it.
