What is the moral issue that's ruling out IVF? Maybe some of the ladies know ways around it, like donating, only fertilizing some, or other methods...

thanks everyone!

You all echoed what I was already feeling. I think it's just finally really sinking in that IVF is the only real option. I wanted to pretend that IUI would work just cause well, it had too.

So....I don't think we are going ahead with IUI. Looks like I'm gonna take a break. Adoption seems like the direction I need to go. I think it's time to grieve the infertility and let it go.

Thanks for listening and being honest with me. I needed a realty check.

thanks

Ema:

I am sure that you will be just as happy with adoption seeing as IVF is ruled out by you.

Good luck!

Ema: You´re being very strong by making this decision, it´s not easy. I voted no on your poll because of your RE´s recommendations & the emotional pain of possible failed IUIs. However, it´s your decision entirely. I wish you the best and Im sure you will make one, or more, little boy/girl very, very happy. GL & KUP.

I agree with Sandra and I would try having DH take clomid. My cousin's DH did this and has a beautiful 2 year old. She got pregnant after his first month on clomid. That may be all you need! The pain of a failed IUI is a lot emotionally regardless of knowing the odds are against you (like Bubble said) and the cost. I would say no to the IUI and look into clomid.

Is there any way around the moral issue of IVF with your DH? I am curious as to what it is. There are a ton of studies that you can apply for to get your procedures covered and I do think that would be your best option.

Good Luck with which ever path you chose and I wish you the best. I wish you didn't have to have this poll to begin with (((HuGs)))
