My option isn't here. I had success with a 2day transfer which is the normal procedure in the UK. They transferred two 4cells and one 3cell at 2 days and hurrah a BFP at 12dpt.

5 day for me

Postby darlingnicole » Thu Feb 05, 2009 7:01 am

We have done IVF twice. Our first attempt was a three embryo transfer on day three. That was a failed cycle.

This round we did a four embryo transfer on day five and we tested positive shortly thereafter.

I think that everyone is different...For us, the egg quality wasn't as good as it should be and we needed those extra few days to see which embryos had the best chance of survival. For both cycles we didn't have any frozens left, so waiting was a better option.

I chose a 5 day transfer because I my fresh IVF was with a 3 day and it didn't take. We did a FET and grew the 3 day snowbabies to 5 day blasts and it/they took!!!

I was skeptical about a three dat transfer, thinking that it meant things were horrible. But I guess not! I am so happy to say a 3dt worked and I am just about 8 weeks pregnant! Good luck to everyone!!!

My RE only does 3dt. He is a believer that any and all embryos will do better in their natural environment than in a lab. I can't argue with him....my 3dt of 2 embryos resulted in my son. I am hoping this time works, too!
