Ovidrel Poll and question!

Postby ladyraider » Fri May 30, 2008 5:01 pm

I just took my second round of Ovidrel and am wondering how long it took others to O?

I am 2 days after trigger and dh and I bd'd yesterday am, today am, and tonight (almost exactly 48 hours after trigger). Do you think this is enough? :?

Also, did you have any O pains? etc.? Thanks!!
:D

Ladyraider:

I have only been instructed to take ovidrel once during each cycle. The first time I had significant pain but all cycles since, I only feel sharp twinges. During IVF they found I respond better with 37 hours between trigger and retrieval.

Hope that responding keeps you bumped to the top for answers.

I did Ovidrel trigger for 4 cycles with IUI. I got a bfp on the 4th cycle, but unfortunately had a mc at 10 weeks. So, I will be using the Ovidrel trigger again this cycle.

I do the trigger at night, and get iuis 12 and 36 hours later. From the signs and symptoms I feel, I would say I "O" about 36 hours after trigger.

Good luck to you!!

I am so sorry for your loss. I hope this cycle brings you your sticky bean!

:grouphug:

I am stressing about my ovidrel shot, etc. When I took it, I injected all of the meds, I thought, but when I took it out it squirted a little. So then I was wondering if that would make a difference. I took a OPK the next evening (about 24 hours later) and it was definetely positive. Then I started worrying b/c I am not having bb pains, where last time I did, but I can't remember where in the 2ww it happened. So I took an hpt (I am 2dpo) hoping to see a blaring :bfp: to assure me it had worked and I got a faint but positive.

Am I worrying over nothing? I am just wanting to do everything I can to assure I have done this right! :(

I think you shouldn't worry (easier said than done, I know :? ). I took a cheapie at about 2dpo (like you) back when I did my first injectable cycle and it was super faint but there. I thought the same thing! Everyone metabolizes the hcg at different rates and that is why women get varying lines on their tests.

:praying: this works for you! You've been through a lot and deserve a sticky bean Renee!
