Irregular Cycle Buddies?!

Postby DiferentKindaGrl » Thu Apr 21, 2011 2:51 pm

Any lovely ladies on here want to start an Irregular/PCOS cycle buddy group with me?

I love having other women to follow and track symptoms with BUT my current cycle length is from 30-45 days long (OvuView puts my average at 42.1 days) so I always fall behind everyone else and end up having to join a new group every new cycle!

What do you say? Anyone wanna take the slow road with me? LOL

Hey!

No PCOS however cycles are weird. last cycle was 26 days and now this cycle I am getting +OPK at CD23 so another TWW there. I would say that has been the shortest and 37-38 days on the longer side, usually the norm is 35 days but who knows anymore :)

Glad to see you CypKitty!

I think we are both pretty close in our cycles! I use an app for my phone called OvuView (its basically the same thing as fertility friend) and it has my predicted ovulation date as 3 days from now.

Although, I had BAD cramping plus some EWCM 3 days ago, so I'm thinking that is when I ovulated. I'm just gonna call it even and say today is 1DPO.

I'm trying to be more relaxed this cycle and not temp or use OPKs, so its hard to say for sure. The only thing I did was use Mucinex and Evening Primrose Oil for a week until I saw EWCM.

Did you try anything new this cycle?

Hi Differentkindagirl :hi:
I can totally relate to you! My cycles are long and irregular also AND I have PCOS too. Today is CD 7 for me. I am temping so I can tell if I did O this month. That will give me an idea of when to expect my next cycle too.

My last cycle was 36 days but that was on clomid. That's the shortest one I've had in almost 2 years! Hoping that the increase in dose will push my cycle even shorter.

I've also lost weight since my diagnosis in Nov 2010. In total I've lost about 30lbs bring my BMI to 27 from a starting point of 30. I don't know if it's made any difference to my cycles tho cuz I was put back on bcp after the dx. At the same time I was given a rx for metformin. Three months later I went back to the doc and was given clomid.

I'll wait the 2 weeks with you. Did you try fertility meds at any point?

Hey hey all good!

I have Fertility Friend obviously through the internet and I have it on my phone as well.

First month temping and charting.

2nd month of Clomid, which like I said before has done weird things. First time O'd CD15 and ended up having a 26 day cycle. Now only yesterday I got a +OPK on CD23 and temps are up today so yeah...

Anything else new? Progesterone cream is ready to go once I do OPK and the line is fading. I am also going to a natropath next week for my very bad acne (It is like teenage acne) and that would be linked to TTC so we will see how that goes!

Baby dust sprinkled all the way from Australia to you all xoxox

I'm so glad to see we are starting to get a little group going.

I think its so much easier to be wait out the long cycles when you have someone doing it with you.

Wannababy- I haven't done any fertility drugs yet. I'm hoping since I got pregnant before while on nothing that I will be able to do it again. When I had my BFP before I was a lot heavier and I was convinced if I took a break and lost a bunch of weight I wouldn't have to go at it for years again....BUT so far we have been TTC since October and nothing.

While I haven't gotten my BFP my cycles went from being 90-160 days long to being a pretty regular 45. Which is a huge accomplishment for me after so many years of absent periods. So I guess the weight loss wasn't a total bust. Not to mention shopping while being a size 6/7 is a LOT more fun that it was when I was overweight! lol

Have either of you ladies had any side effects from the clomid? I was always curious about how it made you feel.

Anyways, now I'm rambling! Hopefully we found each other because this is the cycle we ALL get our BFPs!

Hey ladies, mind if I join? DH and I have been TTC #1 for 3 years. I have some pretty weird cycles, but no PCOS. I have endometriosis and was recently diagnosed with "late/erratic ovulation." Basically irregular cycles, but not super crazy. I'm about 10-11 dpo on my first Clomid cycle to help regulate. I actually O'd at a decent time, CD 15 or 16! I was a little overstimulated so I'm excited to see how this ends.

DiferentKindaGrl - Are you taking any other vitamins/supplements? How long have you been TTC?

wannababy2011 - Another Clomid user! :D Are you trying anything else with it?

CypKitty - I can't remember, but did your dosage or Clomid days change? I'm curious as to why your cycle lengths are different on the Clomid. :? That worries me. I use Murad acne stuff and it's amazing! The starter kit at Sephora is about $33. I was on prescription acne medication as a teenager because mine was bad also, but Murad + Zeno hot spot do wonders!

babydreams - Wow! I didn't even know you could take Clomid CD 2-6! Is this your first cycle on it? That's an early O! I'm jealous! :D

April - November 2011 - 7 Rounds of 50 mg Clomid, 3 IUIs. All BFN.
February - March, June 2012 - 3 Rounds 5 mg Femara. BFN.
April 2012 - "Immune Protocol" Follistim IUI. BFN.
May 2012 - Diagnosed activated natural killer cells and told we'll NEVER conceive naturally... *treatment break*
October 2015 - IVF #1. OHSS. Freeze all. 9 blasts on ice.
November 2015 - FET #1. BFN.
January 2016 - Holy *NATURAL* BFP!!! WTF?! First ultrasound 2/1/2016. Praying for a healthy sticky baby. <3

Hey, it is still the same - 50mg and CD 2-6. First cycle I did it, I think IMO I O'd CD15 (didn't do OPKs or anything, just basing it on O pain) and that cycle lasted 26 days with AF very light and only lasting 6 days. Now I am CD27 on this one and got my O on CD23 with AF been very very heavy (heavier than usual, I had 'leaks' 2 days in a row) and lasting 8 days. Weird. My cycles before Clomid are usually around the 5 week mark so this is a normal cycle for me but yeah I thought it would regulate them a bit. If anything I did different was that this time I took them at EXACTLY the same time everyday, where 1st cycle I was 1 hour out maybe at the most

Hey Ladies! Hope you all had a great Easter weekend. Mine was super busy, but its always great to see family and visit with my nephew :-)

Well I'm around 4-6DPO and the only symptom I have so far is I'm TIRED. I seriously wanna lay down and take a nap right now! I think it might be left over from the busy weekend though, so I'm trying not to read too much into it.

Any of you guys feeling anything yet?

I was thinking today that if I was a "normal" woman I would have O'd, had my period and been almost ready to O again BUT and here I am...still stuck in the TWW! Sometimes long cycles are SUCH a drag!

Anyways, how is everyone else holding up?

Cypkitty - That's so strange how you can take it the same CD's and dosage and have different O days. :? If I start Oing around normal time I'm just going to stop the Clomid. By then it's not even worth it to me.

DiferentKindaGrl - Long cycles are definitely a drag! Most years I only have about 10 cycles to conceive (not super irregular) when "normal women" have a full 12. :x

AFM - I've been cramping on/off, but that's normal with my endo. It's usually a sign AF is coming, but my temps are still up! I tested yesterday and got a faint line that got darker as it dried... It's posted in POAS, but I'm weary to call it anything other than a faulty test.

I keep thinking i have replied to this thread but think it is actually the long and irregular thread I have posted on.

Ttc#3 ntnp since dd2 was born Feb last year. 1st ppaf 21st march so I think I am cd37 and bfn this morning. I thought I had Ov'd cd13 but I am guessing that was not the case. I have only had 5 af in the last 5 years but have also had 2 babies in that time.
