Heavy in front with PCOS

Postby tanksgirl04 » Tue Mar 06, 2012 2:52 pm

Im over weight. Like 245 at 5' 6". I have PCOS so all my damn weight gathers in my belly. I already LOOK pregnant! Im worried that when I do get pregnant, I am going to be one huge lady. My uterus tips forward so the baby is gonna be all out there in front of me. Im worried that I will gain a ton of weight. Im worried I will have gestational diabetes. Im worried about a lot of stuff, but dang it I want a baby so bad! I have alwys taken birthcontrol, albeit incorrectly, to control my acne, so now my whole body is breaking out and I may have a huge barge in front of me soon. Really great for my already low self esteem!! I suppose I can just hide out at home for the pregnancy, which I wouldnt mind because I am a home body anyway!

have you spoken to your DR about your concerns? i was a plus size preggo with DD and i didnt get as big as i thought. I started out at 225 lbs and 5 foot 2 in. the day of delivery i was 247lbs. my weight carried in my gut as well so i figured id just look fat, but boy was i wrong, i was all belly. at 14 weeks i couldnt hide my pregnancy from my family anymore and had to tell them. I have since underwent gastric bypass and lost 60lbs so far and still has low self esteem, I wanted my children to be 2 years apart but so far still no preggo. I was hoping losing weigh would fix my PCOS but it didnt, i still have it and desperately wanting another baby. I hope my experience can help you cheer up some, if you have any questions just PM or if you jsut need someone to talk to, I have been there and will try to answer any questions you may have.

Heres a picture of me at 37 weeks, my belly fat turned into baby, so for a few months i enjoyed it.

hey thanks! I was really a downer in my last post! Sorry. Im willing to go through anything for a baby, so I can get through it. I bet the baby will all be in front too, if/when I get pregnant. I have thought of the belly band, not straight up GB, we are looking into weight loss hypnosis. Somedays i really dont care about my weight, but there are those days that I just can't take my huge belly no more! on Face book I am tanksgirl04@yahoo.com, Amy Riley

I am also overweight at roughly 224 lbs (according to google converter!) and also have PCOS and no gall bladder so it is near on impossible to not gain weight let alone lose it! me and my DH are ttc #2 so that my 5 year old son as a little brother or sister to play with, i had no problems conceiving him, it took 3-4 months, i was a trim size 10 (UK) and had periods you could time by your watch! but then my long labour agrevated the cysts in my ovaries and now i am a size 20 (UK) with no cycle i bleed when my body can be bothered to and have had everything from 2 in one month to nothing for 12 months! we have been TTC for nearly 2 years now and i am on a low carb diet to try and help but i don't have high hopes, my self esteem is at rock bottom so i cant get myself to join a gym or anything like that and only just manage to make myself walk my son to school, if anyone has any tips or anything i would be REALLY grateful to hear them! and if i discover anything i shall post it here first! someone told me about these soya isoflavone thingies but can't find anything about them so gonna talk to my doc about them see what she says then if she gives the all clear will try them and let you know!! :)
BABYDUST to all!!! :) xxx
