I was put on Bravelle a few months back and my ins covered it. Now my ins doesnt cover it so I have to pay out of pocket. I was wondering something I know I can take Bravelle and Menopur together because they are both the kind you have to mix. But I found that Follistim also has one you mix. Could I buy all 3 kinds and do the does my RE prescribed? I cant seem to find enough Bravelle/Menopur....I did call and ask if it was ok for the 2 and they said yes...I didnt want to have to call them again to ask about Follistim if it was the same...

Any thoughts?

Thanks girls!

Hi!

I'm not completely sure what you are asking, but Bravelle and Follistim are the same thing (FSH). Bravelle, as you know, is in the powder form that you have to mix up. Follistim is already in liquid form, and must be refrigerated.

This past cycle, I took Menopur & Follistim. I would mix up my Menopur, then inject the proper dose of Follistim into the vial of Menopur, and then shoot all that up.

The two cycles prior I used Bravelle alone.

I'm not sure if that answered any of your questions, but I hope it helped a little! :luck:

I know that follistim and gonal-f are pure fsh. I believe they are made differently then bravelle so you may want to call your doctor back because it just may be stronger.
