alina- GL on IUI this Thursday! DId you have good follies at ur last scan?

aleena- Our insurance pays for up to 5- we're going to do all 5 then move to IVF. I'm hoping it won't go that far either. I totally agree with being ok thinking that we're the prob since it's such a blow to our DH's ego that something is wrong with them. At least our DH's are responding and doing what they can to help the situation. Your DH's counts after wash is really good. Ours was 3mil after the wash :( I'm hoping it gets better. Although, I still have hope cuz someone got their BFP with IUI with only 150K. it's totally doable..just a little bit more work and extra BD'ing :)

gapeach- how exciting! What did you graduate in? I'm back in school for Counseling Psych..and I'm done in the fall since I kind of lagged on a few units.

megan- sorry girl..I don't know much about temping :( Hope you get your answers. Your temp spike and it staying up looks good though. I think I am going to start temping this month..

Kara- Yay! Glad your not a spammer anymore! Updates please. I see your OPK's degression on the sticks..I'm praying the lines come back!

HI TO EOE I missed! I can't go back that far on topic review :(

I get femara this month- not letrozele..I know it's the same..but seeing "femara" makes me happy. haha I hear you gals get good response from it. RE only has me on 2.5mgs though :( I hope that's enough.

Lisa- I'm sorry your u/s didn't turn out great. I think you will be okay with 1 or 2 follies though. I have heard that some people don't like femara very much cause they said clomid gives them more follies. Hopefully you will get your bfp though and don't have wo worry about clomid or femara.

Aleena- my mil was the same way when she found out we were having trouble conceiving. Of course it turns out she was the one that was right in this case. Oh and no dh isn't on any supplements. His numbers are just amazing, apparently he married the only person that can't get pregnant from his amazing sperm :( so what did you do last cycle to get 4 follies? Were you just on clomid?

Wannab- good luck on femara. I hope it works for you. I looked up instead cups online and it said that at times doing self insemenation with instead cups is better then just bding. It gets the sperm right at the cervix, and then if you have the "big o" afterwards it pulls all those sperm in. I don't know how it would work with mfi though.

Gappeach- that's exciting that you are almost done with school! It will be such a good feeling to finally be out.

Waiting- my opks did the same this this month. Apparently my pee has more lh ay around 10 am. Sometimes an opk will stay positive for a few days so I bet you will ovulate tonight or tomorrow. I guess that's why they say to stop taking opks after you get the first positive cause it just gets confusing.

Alina- good luck on your Iui. Let us know how it goes.

Paris- congratulations on taking the first step towards ivf. That sounds like you and dh had a very easy conversation. When will you talk to the re about ivf?

Afm- I am in pain! My left ovary is killing me and I have to hold my side when I walk. According to my temps I already o'd though. I wonder just how many eggs I released...

Megan - Hmm, sometimes I get bad pain after I ovulate w/ Clomid. Especially if there was more than 1 follie. I hate that pain! I hope you feel better soon! FX for you!! I think you might have O'd on CD 12, but more likely CD 13 - good timing though!

wannabmommee - I really hope Femara does the trick for you this cycle! It sucks having low AMH :( It's hard to get follies going. Sending you grow dust and babydust!!

Aleena - I really hope this is your lucky month and you won't need IVF! But that being said, I think IVF would work wonderfully for you! We know you can produce some good follies! Good luck! And yay for cheating with the Clomid :)

gapeach - Good luck to you this cycle!! I hope you get preggo and don't need the Lap!

waitingtobemommy - Awesome BD timing! I'm excited for you!! Good idea to do the progesterone ad the hcg boosters!! I'm very hopeful for you! You'll probably be more fertile this cycle, too!

Talia - Thinking of you and hoping you had a better response than me with Femara! Can't wait to hear your report! Good luck!

:hi: to everyone!! Sorry if I missed people. Sending :babydustb: and :luck:

AFM - Thanks guys. I'm just feeling bummed because my dominant follie is pretty large and too "ripe" isn't good for fertilization. I'm hoping the 2 smaller ones catch up and ovulate. My temp went waayyy up today, but I think today or even tomorrow will be my true O day. It's probably just the trigger, although my dominant follie was ready to pop at any moment, so it might have. We are just going to go crazy BD and hope for the best, but I can't help but feel bummed about my poor response. I will NEVER take Femara again!!

Hi ladies,

More later, but I just wanted to check in. Surgery went well, but the doc didn't let us know what she found or did, so we'll be calling her office today to book my follow-up for 4-6 weeks from now and ask for the basic results. I asked for the results to be forwarded to my fertility doc as well as my GP, so hopefully she'll have the results by our appointment on Monday.

Just took some T3s (and Soflax...ugh) and started watching 'State of Play' on the movie channel. We'll see if I make it through the whole thing...

Thanks for all the well wishes...personals after one of my naps.

KMP - So glad to hear that the surgery went good. I can't wait to hear about your results.

lisa - I can understand why you feel disappointed. I'm keeping everything crossed for you that you get a sticky BFP this cycle.

Megan - I feel my ovaries all the time, so I'm never convinced that I O.

Aleena - FX that this is your cycle and you won't even have to move onto IVF! If I didn't have the fluid in my uterus, I'd stick to a few more IUIs. However, my DR. wants to freeze my embryos and wait for a fluid free cycle and transfer.

wanna - I started on 2.5 and then the next cycle moved to 5.

alina - GL with your IUI!

ga - are you unmedicated this cycle too?

waiting (Jen) - Great that DH is on board for so much BDing. It makes it so much easier!

AFM - My OPKs were 99% positive today. Not exactly there yet, but if a novice was looking at them, they would think they were positive. I'll test again tonight.

KMP - glad to hear everything went smooth! hoping you can relax and take some naps :) Very curious about your appt to see how surgery went. They did not tell you if they removed any scar tissue at least?

Megan - We did Clomid 50mg (CD3-7) and one 150mg shot of Bravelle on CD 9. That was it! After the Bravelle my follies went crazy and grew over 3mm in one day! Did you start your progesterone?

wannab - wow! 150k did it? that's a nice story! :)

alina - good luck with the IUI! did you take any meds this month or just natural?

waiting Jen - I love your determination and your own treatment plan for this cycle! It would be sooo cool if it worked! RE's should just let us take control of what we want to do....we know so much better what's going on with our bodies!
Paris Jen - you're getting close lady :) time to get busy!

So basically Paris Jen, Waiting Jen, Lisa and Megan were/are all :bd: pretty much at the same time! Funny!

Lisa - I really do think that your 14 mm follies had a chance to catch up! It would be so reasuring to have a u/s on the day of the IUI so you know exactly what your cards you're playing with but most REs don't do that...

Kara - I am really hoping you're not bummed cause of a silly tests at 10 dpo! you know it's very possible to get your BFP later than that and only a small percentage of women get nice lines this early. FX really really tight!!!

AFM - finally got some things done at work... :) I switched to the prescribed amount of Clomid last night so I'm a good girl now. Only cheated for 2 days. I feel things going on in my ovearies so reaaaaally hoping for 2-3 nice follies this time! Forgot to mention that I bought a BBT thermometer and started temping! Yaaaay! it's my first time! :) DH almost had a heart attack this morning when the digital thermometer started beeping after it registered the temperature. He didn't know what I was doing. lol

Sorry to be so quick today but I'm about to run outta the office...

KMP: Glad your surgery went so well. So you wont know the results for 4-6 weeks???!! That would drive me absolutely crazy!! Do they at least know if it's worth doing IUI and tx next month or do you have to wait to get the results to know what to do? At least it's over now and you can relax. Get some rest and take care of yourself!

Paris Jen: There is nothing I hate more than having to "interpret" OPK tests. I was in the same boat the last couple days wondering "Is it completely positive, or almost, or what". I think I just called mine positive, but I know my test on Monday night was negative. Hate playing that OPK game! Keep BDing!!!

Lisa: I'm thinking the trigger will kick those other two smaller follies into high gear, and honestly, if they were at 14 two days ago they dont have Hopefully they get to at least 18, which I would bet they will. Keep BDing!! Sorry to hear Femara didnt work well for you :(

megan: Sorry you're in pain, but it means that you had a strong O. Looks like the Femara really worked for you! Are you BDing still just in case more follies are rupturing?

wannab: I would say I'm happy you got Femara and I would think it would work wonders for you, but Lisa just had bad responses from it. Hope it does the trick for you though. And 2.5 mg might be a good dose to start on. I take 5mg and have a REALLLY strong O, quite painful actually, so you might prefer the smaller dose.

alina: Good luck on Thurs. Anxious to hear your stats regarding follies, DH's swimmers, etc. Were you on meds this cycle?

Aleena: Glad to hear your MIL is so supportive. I remember hearing a horror story in the Infertility forum about a MIL who was actually mad and blaming her DIL for being infertile. Thank goodness for positive MIL...wish I had one! :)

gapeach: Hello and welcome back! Exciting about your upcoming graduation...bet you'll be glad to be done with that!! Hope you're getting some good BDing in if those OPKs are getting dark! Help me remember, will your appt on 4/26 be your first ever Re appt or just a new appt after not attending for a while?

Kara: Saw your tests over in the POAS. Still looks like a light line holding out on your tests. Sorry about the temp dip, but the other ladies might be on to something in thinking it could be implantation dip. FX for you still this month! If AF does arrive (so sorry to have to say that!) what are your plans for next month?

AFM: My OPKS are still positive, for the 3rd day!! AND, I've been having cramps, backache, and dull ovary aches each day as well. I wonder if I'm just still gearing up to O and just havent yet?? I'm going to keep BDing until the OPKs are definitely negative. Do you think I should take my first dose of hcg now to "trigger" O or wait to use them after O as prescribed?

Waiting- I bd for the last 4 days so if more follies want to erupt, they can have the millions of sperm already there, I'm not doing it anymore! lol Sorry I can't help with the trigger question, I don't know much about that shot. Do you temp?

Aleena- Ya I started progesterone today. Are you doing the Bravelle this month too? I love the feeling of ovary pain when i take clomid! I know something is working. Here's hoping for a few good follies for you. It's great that you started temping. It takes the guesswork out of everything. I hate obsessing over my temps, but it is so much better obsessing over that rather than going crazy cause I don't know what's going on with my body. lol

Paris- Did you take another opk?

KMP- Glad to hear that the surgery is over! :D I bet you are so relieved. No more worrying about it. But the 4-6 week wait would drive me crazy. Why didn't they let you know what they found?

Lisa- That really sucks about the femara. :( BUT, you are on new medication now that worked last cycle so you shouldn't feel TOO bummed out. Maybe the lovenox will do it's thing and this egg will fertilize and implant. :D I still think you have a good chance.

afm- I GOT CROSSHAIRS! And to make it even better, ff says that I ovulated on the day of my iui! Yay Yay Yay! I have NEVER bd the day of ovulation. I always miss it and bding the day after ovulation is out of the question but this time I had the iui and bd on ovulation day and I bd (well kinda, I used instead cups) the two days after ovulation so I think I'm pretty much set. I started progesterone today so I'm expecting my temps to get slightly messed up.

Wanna- I hope the Femara works for you, I am only on 2.5 mcg this month to. Fx that it does the trick.

Lisa, I think that the 23 is still in good range, even medicated 20-24 mm have the highest rates of being fertilized, and you could end up releasing the other two 14mm, end up being 16 ot a little bigger, and anything over 16 can be fertilized. I'm sorry you are disppointed, but I think you should still have high hopes with that resposne.

Jen-YAY for a + opk, and a bigger YAY for dh's response on IVF, I still hope you don't need it though.

Jen (Wait)- You triggered right already or are you referring to your booster shots? Its not uncommon for a good stronge surge to take time for it to go back to being negative again.

KMP-I am so glad the surgery went well, did you not see the doc post op? They have always given me a status right away in recovery, but it does depend on the docter. Have a speedy recovery and make sure to get u and be walking around it will push the gas out faster..reducing discomfort.

Megan- Yay for being in the 2ww, everything sounds like it is times well. tons of bbay dust your way.

Aleena= LOL for being a good girl. I am glad you are getting caught up at work, and I think you will get your 3 follies!!! My dh understands quite bit with ttc, but bbt and tempting he just doesn't get at all or how it can be accurate..men

Kara..Stalking your poas, hope you are doing well.

If I missed anyone I'm sorry :( but HI!!!!

AFM- CD 10.....drumroll...on 3 follies, 17mm,15mm, 13mm.... I will trigger tomoorow IUI Friday. My re was saying that with femara, they like to use it (they only use clomid with pcos patients) if you O on your own as it helps with the egg quality, so you won't see as many follies, but they will be better quality, so here's hoping to all of us using femara.

Talia- that's good news! I'm about a few days behind you. This is the first time I'm taking femara, and i'm taking 2 tabs once a day for 5 days..but it's 2.5mg each..so i'm taking 5mg. That's good to know that it produces good quality eggs..I do O on my own, so it's good to know because I am borderline AMH. Yay for trigger and IUI this week! Fingers crossed!!!!!

megan- woohoo for crosshairs! I rarely temp, and I'm planning on doing that this cycle.

waiting Jen- sorry girl, I have no advice for you bec I'm new to IUI world. But I think if you keep BD'ing while the OPK's are still + you cover ur basis! YAY!

aleena- I'm going to start temping this cycle too! I normally do, but im very inconsistent. But lol to your DH startled by the beep!!!

AFM..work is getting more and more crazy and stressful each day. It's soo not conducive to baby making, and I'm at the end of my rope..I think Im about to give my notice :( Now it's job hunting time!

TRIGGER QUESTION!!!!!!

So my ovidrel came in. I know some of you ladies were talking about the life of the hcg staying in your body and calculating it..so i on the box, it says that it is 250mcg/0.5ml. Is that a normal amount and how long should that stay in my body? Last month, I tested on 7dpo, 9dpt and it was totally gone- no hint whatsoever.

Thanks in advance for the help ladies!

Rachel, yes, that it what we use. Mine sticks until 12dpt. It has a half life of 29.5 hours, so it takes a while to leave. Some metabolize it quicker, so they don't see theirs for long.

ga - I had a + yesterday too :D

wanna - I'm sorry that you are stressing with work. I hope that you find a job that you enjoy.

Talia - Wow, that is a fast trigger! Yay for IUI tomorrow!!!!

megan - Yay for CH!!!! Awesome timing of your IUI!

waiting (Jen) - My OPKs always stay positive for days. I usually give up testing after like 3 days of positives because I get annoyed with them.

Aleena (aka cheater) - I hope that you get 3 great follicles this cycle!

AFM - I got my +OPK last night...finally! Now the only part I'm confused on is...did I O yesterday as well??? My temp went up this morning, but I normally don't O the same day as my first +.
