I've tried Femara- what's next?

Hey ladies I am meeting with a RE next week to discuss our next step. I O on my own but have low progesterone. I have taken Femara for 4 cycles with no luck so I think I am ready to move on to injectibles (if it isn't too expensive). I would like to know what meds the RE may put me on and how often you take injectibles? This past cycle I did femara+trigger+iui+progesterone. I still have a few days before AF but I have no symptoms so I am already thinking ahead. Also, can you tell me a little about how much injectibles typically cost. My insurance covers testing for infertility but won't cover the drugs, although they did cover my Ovidrel.

Most likely you will get Bravelle or Follitism or some variation of that.
I would strongly recommened asking him for a combo cycle to save costs, if you dont have coverage (which is femara + injects). I have fertility coverage and a regular Bravelle cycles costed me $500 and a combo cycle only $270- but for some reason my RE didnt offer it until i asked him for it. You will lneed the trigger shot and should request a booster shot, as that helps with progesterone (but again it requires more of the ovidrel/novarel- so more expensive).

I believe the cost for my injects on the total inject cycle, without insurance would have been about 1K..that was the "uninsured" price they first quoted me (from an apothocary). that was for 20 vials of bravelle, and i did have to use them all.

After saying all of thaat, i hope you end up with a suprise BFP so that you dont haev to deal with this part!!! good luck!
