Hi Girls,

Feels good to read your discussions on this topic. My story is somewhat similar.

We are actively ttc since last 5 years with no success. Me: 27 DS:33

Had a D&C 3 years back as doctor did not find a baby but just a sac till 12 weeks.

Recently, did all relevant fertility tests for me and DS all turned out to be normal. We had our first IUI on 19 SEP. This month had missed periods for about 6 days with all the pregnancy symptoms.

Today bloody AF showed up again. :( Doctor has only 1 thing to say everytime, Relax its "Unexplained Infertility".
Its really frustrating!

Will start treatment for 2nd IUI cycle from tomorrow.. lets see what October brings for us.

Plz do share BFP tips after unexplained infertility if anyone has conceived which would be really helpful.

Looking forward for success tips n comments... n baby dust to all!! :)

So I know I've been gone FOREVER, but I have been trying to pop in from time to time bcs you ladies are my first ttc "family."

Danielle - CONGRATULATIONS!!! I totally understand that feeling of being cautious after a loss....I'm STILL there. I have a really good feeling about this for you though. Brody is adorable - as always - and he looks ready to be. Big brother! ;)

Rachel - I agree that you look great! I'm feeling really uncomfortable at this point with only one in here, so I can't even imagine three! Sorry about your recent scare, but glad to hear it turned out ok.

Valerie - You look great too! You are just a couple weeks ahead of me, so I love seeing your updates. I have been getting the bladder kicks too lately. It's funny how we start to be able to pinpoint which of our organs our little ones are wreaking havoc on. Lol

Magnammy - Welcome! I hated hearing "unexplained infertility." I'm someone who wants answers and a plan, and never seemed to get that. Hearing that results are normal becomes bad news, bcs you want something to blame. I still don't know what our actual issue was, but after trying every med and procedure under the sun IVF was my answer....and even that didn't work for me the first time. (I didn't respond well enough to do the actual procedure on my first try). I'm not sure if I have any actual tips, other than to make sure you find a specialist that will really listen to you and is willing to keep trying different things until you get that baby.

Toni - I'm so, so sorry to hear about all that you've been through! :( I've been wondering where things ended up for you, and when I first saw that you posted I was so hoping to read good news. I hope you continue to heal...both physically and emotionally.

Hello to everyone else. Hope you are all well.

Nothing new here really. I'll be 28 weeks tomorrow, and I suddenly became HUGE last weekend! It's still so surreal. I caught a glimpse of profile in a glass door today and thought, "who the heck is that!?!"
I had a bit of a rough week last week when I found out I failed my glucose tolerance screening and then the next day they found a "disruption" in my placenta that could possibly lead to complications. But....I found out today that my 3 hour glucose test was normal, and I'll have another scan on Tuesday to check the placenta, so I'm just thinking positive and hoping that things continue to work out. This little one is a fighter so far, so I know he'll be ok.

I'll try to check in more often....

Hi Ladies! Mind if I join this discussion? I am looking for advice going to do my first IUI this cycle. Looking for advice and tips. I see many of you have had success after a few IUIs! :)

This is my second cycle on clomid I surged on my own last cycle. So this cycle I am going in for a CD12 scan and then will do IUI morning after I detect my surge with OPK. I also asked my RE for progesterone since I seem to have a short LP average 10 days. Curious if there are things I can do to better prepare for the IUI? Should you still BD before and after IUI? Should I try progesterone after IUI even tho my levels have not been tested...I am just assuming I need it since I have a short luteal phase.

Hi ladies! Well, here I am in my LAST WEEK of maternity leave. I really can't believe it. Eva will be 10 weeks on Thursday. She has grown SO much - I can't wait to see what she weighs on Saturday at the doctor. She started out as such a tiny thing, and she already seems big to me.

First of all, Toni, I was so excited to see an update from you, and then could not believe what I was reading. I am so, so very sorry to hear of all you have been through. That is terrible and crazy scary. You're such a strong woman to get through all of that. I hope you're able to return to "regular" life very soon. Please know my thoughts are with you.

Danielle, congratulations! Very exciting. :) And Brody is just adorable.

Jaime, Amanda and Christine, so are Wyatt, Lincoln and Otto! Christine, I can't believe how much Otto looked like you, from the very beginning.

All you pregnant ladies are looking great! Rachel, I can't believe you're measuring term already. I really cannot imagine... Good luck!

To all of you ttc, I wish you the best of luck and all the baby dust in the world.

As for me, I still can't believe I have my family of four. Sometimes I'm just overwhelmed by it, emotionally. One day, early on, when my husband went out to run an errand and it was just Eva and me at home, we were on the couch and I just lost it. Tears were running down my face as I thought about everything I had gone through - emotionally and physically - to get to this point. (Geez, I'm tearing up now!) And how even after I got pregnant, I basically refused to believe it was really going to happen. I think I (mostly subconsciously) tried to sabotage this - in my head, that is - at every step of the way. I figured I would miscarry, then I thought something might be wrong genetically, then I was sure they would find something on the ultrasound, then I thought I would go into preterm labor. I'm truly not usually such a pessimistic person...this was all very unlike me, but it's where my mind kept going after those rough three years. I tried to make myself be positive, but it was hard. And, of course, at every step of the way, everything ended up being just fine! Perfect, actually. And there I was, sitting on my couch in my new house, with this tiny baby I had hoped so hard for, and I just couldn't believe it. I still get emotional when I think about all of that, but mostly, now, we're just living life! Eva is eating and sleeping, and except for some painful gas issues, doing great. She just started smiling, which is the best. We're usually up once during the night, and it's usually later in the morning like 4 or so. So not bad!! Of course...Josie was sleeping through the night by this point, but I know that was really early...so it's ok. I was hoping she would sleep through before I go back to work, but we'll be fine.

Josie still isn't very interested in doing much with Eva (holding, feeding, etc.) - she's too busy doing her own thing - but she's sweet with her. She gives her a paci when she cries, and is at least always aware of where she is and what she's doing. Josie turned 5 on the 11th, so we had two weekends of birthday festivities - first an arts and crafts party for her friends, and then a family party at our house this past weekend. We found an awesome swing set on Craigslist that was a steal, and the grandparents all chipped in to get it for her. She was so excited - it was fun. She also lost her first tooth over the weekend! So...big times for Josie lately. ;) Today, I actually dropped Eva off (sniff sniff) at the babysitter for the first time. She's just there today so I can do some shopping and run some other errands before going back to work, but then we'll start for real on Monday. Eek! I can't believe my leave is coming to an end. Along with trying to get it through my head that I won't be with Eva all day, I feel like there are still a lot of things I wanted to do during my leave.

I think that's it for now. I'm sorry it has been so long since I've checked in - and that I'm not responding to each individual like I usually do. I still read through the posts fairly regularly, and I'm thinking of you all! Let's connect on Facebook...if you want to, please private message me! I would love to find you guys on there. I feel like I know some of you better than some of my Facebook friends, to be honest! Many of us have been through so much together.

I'll leave you with a couple of photos... :)

Another month has passed and I owe an update!

I am 29 weeks now and carrying 8.5lbs of baby! Our boy is biggest at an ounce shy of 3lbs. I've been on bedrest for two weeks now as my cervix is shortening, but no further shortening so that's a good sign :)
I wish I could say we are ready for their arrival but unfortunately we had some water come in our home after tons of heavy rain. It seems to be from a building error, so we will now be wrestling with our builder to hopefully fix the problem and replace our floors in both dd room and the nursery.
We do have everything needed for the babies though!
Bedrest has been tough mentally but I can't walk very far without quite a bit of hip pain. I am still working from home and that provides excellent distraction!

Danielle- how are you?
Kat- your girls are precious. Hope being back at work is going okay!
Christine- you are getting so close! Hope you are well!
Hello to EOE- I know we are all busy but I would love to read updates :)

Rachel - so happy to hear that things are moving right along - even though you aren't able to :( 29 weeks with trips? That's incredible.

Katie - Love the pics of your precious girls.

ChristineHow - you're getting so close! How are you feeling?

Danielle - haven't heard from you in awhile. How is the new pregnancy progressing? And how is our favorite little boy Brody?

Valerie - how are you?

I'm sure I've missed a lot of people.

Lincoln turned 6 months last week. I can't believe it. He has already outgrown his infant "basket" car seat. We just had a checkup today, and he was ginormous. 20 pounds. 28 1/2 inches. The complete opposite of our baby girl, who was just a little sweet pea. Lincoln is loving life -- so smiley and interactive. He's been such a joy.

Hey ladies,

Katie, Josie and Eva are precious. Eva is so cute. I love her little facial expressions.

ChristineH, not too much longer. How exciting! Does it feel real yet?

Rachel, I'm sorry your so uncomfortable, I can't even imagine. That's alot of baby to be carrying! So exciting. You're getting there though. I'm glad you can work from home and have a distraction. Do you have a date set for delivery?

Amanda, I can't believe Lincoln is 6 mths already and so big! So cute. He always looks so happy in his pics. Sounds like things are going great.

Sorry I've been mia. Work is so busy and just trying to keep up with work but also spend time with my little man. Brody will be 10 months next week. He started walking with a laundry basket, lol and now moved on to a little walk behind walker. He's loving it. He's eating great, eats alot of what we eat but I keep it bland for him. He's been waking once a night and won't let me put him down. Big separation anxiety in the middle of the night. Pregnancy is going well. We had a u/s a few weeks ago and saw a active baby with a healthy hb. I'll be 12 weeks Saturday. Another u/s on Wednesday and bloodwork that will determine gender! We haven't told our families yet. We will at Thanksgiving being that next week's u/s is all good.

My babies are here! Right at 30 weeks I started having some pink spotting- very little- and decided to go get checked. I started cramping a bit but no contractions on the monitor. My doc checked and I was dilated to 5, the bleeding getting worse as the cerclage was starting to tear my cervix. Within the hour I had an emergency csection. Both girls were born 11/17 @ 1048, Griffin at 1050. Molly and Griff are nearly off oxygen while Maggie is having a difficult time- but only on nasal cannula.
I can't describe how much I love them.
Here's a pic, lots of tubes and wires :/
