Yes, this will be my first IUI. We recently found out (after almost 2 years of trying) that my husband cannot have children - he has Klinefelter disease which means he does not produce any sperm. It was a devastating diagnosis, but we suspected something might not be right because I never got pregnant with him and we're together for 13 years.

I was pregnant once, about 15 years ago but miscarried at about 8 weeks. My doctor thinks we have a good chance of getting pregnant, I really hope he's right. I will be turning 35 in a few months and I am worried. This website is amazing, so many positive stories, so much hope floating around, I'm greatful that I found it :)

Hi everyone,

I started on this website years ago when i started my TTC journey (I've popped in over the years to keep reading the success stories). It has been a long six years of weightloss and sorting my cycle out. I am happy to say that I am more than ready for motherhood and I have worked my rump off to get this far. Little bit about me,I am 29 and I was diagnosed with PCOS about 7 years ago and it took some time to find a Dr. that knew what they were doing and made me feel comfortable. I have type 2 diabetes, and I also have a type of dwarfism although i am at like 4'11 -5'0 (if you saw me in person you'd notice) my torso is normal and then my limbs are short (by an inch and a half or so) so I have very little reach, and I believe I have knock knee but the jury is still out on that one. I should be able to have a normal pregnancy just like any other woman but with the PCOS I don't ovulate, but you gals know what thats like :P as well my DH (36) has low motility so Dr. has set us up finally for IUI and its going to take place in March this year. (oh I forgot to mention I was 350lbs and am now 277lbs so I have worked VERY hard for this). I have been taking birthcontrol over the years while i was working on my weight because i was put on spironalactone (to help with water weight) and it is not good to get pregnant while on it. So I stopped BC on my last cycle which was Dec 26 (CD1) and havent had a cycle yet so I will start provera at the end of this week and we go from there (I will also be using femera and menopur trigger shot.) Phew, ok so after all that ranting I have been dying to talk to women who understand where im coming from, ok so friday the 20th of feb, 2015 I had my first ever positive OPK (i was using up leftover before they expire) now I dont think I ovulated because no pain BUT i am glad to know that I am releasing LH the egg just needs a little nudge (lol). I also tested sat/sun and got the same + but it was not as dark as friday (again leads me to think that I have the LH but no egg release). Goodness I feel better already after unloading that. All the girls in my friend circle have had their babies in their 20's or younger and think im crazy. I am SUPER excited to be able to join this group and lets hope BFP's all around! oh and baby dust to everyone as well. :D

You have done an amazing job on the weight loss. I am very proud of you. Yes the being able to unload all the feeling and thoughts that run through your mind is great. I myself am only 24 but of course all my friends and family have had 1,2,and even three kids in our ttc process and its exciting but devastating at the same time. i wish you the best of luck.

Well Kelseyjo I hope this is our month! :o) I just got back from the pharmacy with my meds. I start Provera at the end of this week take them for 10 days and then when cycle starts CD3 - 7 I take letrozole 2.5mg twice a day and then I get the shot of menopur on CD6. I'm so excited to get things rolling. The menopur is expensive :( $174.69 yikes lol but TOTALLY worth it!!

I would like to join if you all don't mind! I just got AF today after a failed IUI. We are diagnosed with secondary unexplained infertility. We have a beautiful 2 and a half year old and all of our tests have came back normal.

This will be our 20th cycle (21 months trying) with two early losses. My actual last MC due date would have been in 13 days. Pretty sad to think about!

We will be trying IUI for the second time. I will be on Femara/Letrozole plus injectables. This will be my first time with the injectables. I don't know exactly how much yet or what kind, but will find out at my baseline ultrasound on Wednesday morning.

Last time I only had one follicle, so I am hoping for more this time. Hopefully the injectables do it for us. We are paying out of pocket, so hopefully it's not too steep. :( From what I understood over the voicemail, I will only be taking the injects for three days after the femara. Does that sound right?

Hello StephTTC You are more than welcome. Im sorry the first round Didn't work for you guys. Hopefully this month will be all of are time. With the injects everyone is different. I'm do the same femara 2.5 twice a day, days 3-7 and the gonal F Injections day 4-9 at 37.5. this was my fist time with the injections as well. DO not be nervous about the injections. I thought it would hurt like my trigger shot did. (Was not expecting not to be able to sit on that cheek for a few days ha) The injections i take our in the stomach and i honestly hardly even felt it i had to double check and make sure in was even in my stomach. Please keep us updated on how things go i would love to see all of the March ladies have BFP's this month/ Thanksgiving babies

OMG OMG OMG lol my head is just buzzing right now. Ok so I litterally just got AF (normally it would be sad to see her) except this time im happier than a pig in muck. I was supposed to start provera to bring on AF at the end of this week but its freaking awesome to see that my body did it all on its own. so I called the Dr. and I start my letrozole this fridays (CD3 - CD7) 2.5mg twice a day and then my menopur shot on CD6. My ultrasound to check how many follies is booked for march 6th 9:30am I'm soo excited ladies!! Thinking happy thoughts and prayers for all you ladies. I'm off to my nephews birthday dinner... I can't believe he's 10!
