So today marks day 9 after IUI. I'm going nuts. Why wouldn't I be!?!? AH! We tested day 7, negative. Yesterday, we tested midday - thought we saw a little something after it sat a few hours. Tested again at 8:45p last night... nothing. Tested this morning ... nothing. Still early. Lots of craziness this week with work, and a wedding (tomorrow!). So we're busy, which helps. Monday we have our injection lesson with the Nurses - in preparation for IVF. They have submitted information to insurance to check on coverage - we live in MA, and we are lucky to have IVF covered! (Fingers crossed the meds don't break the bank!) The time between IUI to TWW to AF to starting next cycle is so quick in some ways, and not fast enough in others. There's the stress of jumping in to IVF and that commitment, stress of wondering why after 4 IUIs & 1 MC that we haven't been pregnant, how much things will cost, wondering if IVF will work.... It's like running in circles with the 'What Ifs' ;| We'll hang in there and see what happens. AF usually shows around day 11 (Monday) - and we have our beta test on Thursday (2 weeks post iui). Sending baby dust!

Crossing everything for you Emily! This process is ridiculously taxing! I'm happy to hear that ivf will be covered for you! Hopefully you won't need it though! Be sure to keep us posted!

Sending you tons of baby dust! xoxoxo

Emily!!!! Wow you're in a ball of craziness right now! Didn't know you had to have injection lessons with IVF. That must be a little nerve wracking. Hopefully your wife is good with needles? My wife LOVES injecting me, it's sick.

Hoping for good results today!! Did you test yet? Kisses!!

I had to self inject my trigger too. Nothing to it. Barely feel it.

Hi everyone! Was kind of waiting for some positive news... seems like longer than 10 days since I posted (why did that go by so fast, and not the TWW?!) Anyway - we were BFN with a beta on 9/24. We knew 9/19 when I had spotting late in the day. UGH. But our injection lessons on 9/21 went well - we're looking at Gonal-F, Low dose HcG, Cetrotide or Ganirelix, then Ovidrel and Progesterone (Endometrin). Phew.
We have a month off - so our 1st IVF Cycle will start on the 3rd day of AF, probably right around October 19-20. I got the call today - insurance approved! Also got the call about meds, and will be waiting for one more call about them being transferred to our pharmacy (our insurance prefers CVS/caremark over a local fertility pharmacy, annoying!). So things are lining up for this next HUGE adventure. Are we ready? Who knows. But we do know we are certainly not ready to give up.

I know we disappeared for a while....Our 1st cycle with IVF went great! TWW can be tough and I got sick - both the Friday after my Monday transfer (must have been implantation!!), and then Sunday with a cold.
Timeline:
11/6 retrieval
11/9 - 1 embryo transfer
11/16 - POAS - POSITIVE
11/17-20 - POAS 9 times - all POSITIVE, including a FRER on 11/20, PM, that came up 2-3 weeks.
11/21 BETA - 177. She said that was excellent. Continuing endometrin
HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We told my Mom Saturday afternoon and then spent some time at Target playing with the registry list. We have told no other person (just you guys now, and a few followers on Twitter know via message). Trying to avoid the topic at least until Thanksgiving.
But like us all, I'm still in shock and have many 'what-ifs' going through my head. We have our 2nd beta on Tuesday morning.
Is this for real!?
