First IUI Today!

Postby candy35 » Tue Sep 22, 2015 1:48 pm

So after waiting almost 3 months (July cancelled - too many follicles, August cancelled - cysts) I finally had my IUI! The only thing was that when DH gave his sample he had 2 million post wash. Very low - his sperm counts were always perfectly fine and on the higher end. My heart sank a bit but we decided to go forward. I felt calm and know that God is in control. The dr. said he would do it and it couldn't hurt to try. I figured we spent all the money on all the ultrasounds, and the sperm preparation we might as well go for it. Plus, it only takes one! Here is praying and believing for my miracle! Any one else had an IUI today? Any tips? I'm drinking pomegranate juice, I'm eating the pineapple core, keeping my normally cold feet warm... :)

I really hope your iui will be successful. try not to think about it and keep yourself calm and happy. I was so ready for this month to get start my first iui but first time of using femara gave me hemorrhagic cyst and now taking bc to get rid of it and then start the process! I just realized when I chase the time it runs away!
wish you lots of luck :)?

I wow you success! We started the process for our first IUI but we did it with thT understanding that we might not be able to go through it due to DH having low sperm count and motility. His urologist said due to some
Improvement in his numbers after clomid to go ahead with the IUi but the fertility specialist was hoping we would just go straight to ivf. The clinic said that if we're not able to proceed on the day due to not having a good sample we won't lose our money, it will just be credit for when we decide to proceed with ivf. So it won't be money lost in our end. Hopefully it won't be on your end either !
