Postby WishinAndHopinCO » Sun Nov 01, 2015 6:46 am

Hey guys,
I am waiting for AF to start to begin the process for my November iui. I didn't see a November page, so thought I would start one so we can all support each other this month.

Shout out if/when you are having your iui this month!

Hello all! I'm new to TWW and also new to IUI! I had my first IUI today! I go back on 11/6/15 to have my progesterone level check and I go back on 11/13/15 for my beta. From what I've been reading most people don't go back until 14 days later, is 11 days normal? Also, should I keep up with my levels of each blood test given? I'm not sure what else to share, but i'm excited and fairy dust to all other November IUIs!! If you think of anything else, please share!

Welcome Ladytjones!

11 days could possibly be too early for a beta. At that point it is possible that implantation has not occurred yet, but I would trust what your doctor recommends to you. I am certainly not an expert as I am gearing up for a second iui.

Keep us posted on how things go for you!

Hey ladies! I see an RE on Monday and I want to try the IUI this cycle. Can someone explain the process? How many days do you prepare in advance and what do you have to do? Does it hurt?

Hi Ladies,

Joining this thread, planning on having my first IUI around 11/16 if I surge or at least have a good size follicle to trigger. We missed my surge in October. This time I am going in starting CD10 to do blood tests each morning to check LH surge and not just relay on OPKs. I will also do a ultra sound on CD12. Currently I am on CD3 and started clomid again 50mg.

How is everyone doing so far?

Wishin - Has AF started?

Ladytjones - Keep us posted on your levels when you go. I had my progesterone checked a week after I supposedly O'd last month and it was 5.1. I was worried since I typically have a 10 day luteal phase that there is an issue. I have progesterone suppositories ready. My RE told me today when I brought that up, that we can't determine luteal phase defect on that alone. I need to nail down my O date since I think it may be changing a lot since I started clomid then check my luteal phase. He said 5.1 shows I did ovulate. Even tho it was low, a womans progesterone level can fluctuate quickly during the day. Even tho mine was 5.1 that morning if I came back 5 hours later to test it could of been 20.

Scarlet - Keeps us posted on what your RE says Monday. If you want to do an IUI they should let you, b/c really its your choice. I am still waiting to officially do my first one but basically you wait to surge or if you dont surge on your own do a trigger shot after they check your follicle growth then schedule an IUI that very next day after surge or trigger.

Good luck to everyone!! I hope we all have BFPs to share soon!! :)

I had my first iui with clomid and trigger shot on November 2ND. I'm on my two week wait now. I'm hoping and praying this works. We've been trying since March 2014. And I had a uterus septum removed as well as endo.

Good luck to everyone!

No AF for me. Spoke with my nurse today. My lining is still thick and progesterone level is up, so I just have to keep waiting. She wants me to take another hpt in 3 days, but I would be shocked to see a bfp since I don't normally ovulate on my own.

Rebeccam and Heather - Good luck hope this TWW will turn into your BFPs!! Keep us posted!!

Wishin - That would be amazing if it turns out to be a BFP!! So does your Dr think you could be pregnant? What is your progesterone level? Will they check your beta if still no AF in a couple days?

Dbliz is this your first iui? This iui will be #3 for me. Hoping third time will be a charm. The other 2 iui s didn't work because I have natural killer cells and with this iui I had an Interlipids infusion done. Hopefully this did the trick, if not we will be moving to ivf next. U said ur getting your follies checked on the soon. I'm crossing my fingers for u and hoping u have a lot of good size follies. Keep me posted when you go for ur ultra sound

dbliz- well I received a call from my RE about my results of my second hsg test and if this cycle of iui doesn't work I need to go back into surgery to remove more of my septum in my uterus. And than go ivf route. It's all just so stressful even more so due to us moving a week after surgery and I'll have to come back for the Ivf.

Heather and ladyjones- good luck! Fingers crossed for you!

Wishin- hopefully AF doesn't show up and you get your BFP!

Heather - yes this will be my first last cycle we missed my surge even using the clear blue digital OPK turned out to not work. Ugh How did they find out you had those natural killer cells? I am only going to try maybe 2 IUIs depending if we move on to injections and if that still doesnt work after second try. We may move on to IVF as well to not waste anymore time and money. Of course I would need a break and some time to save up money for an IVF so I wouldn't have to finance all of it! :| I hope this is your month to get a BFP so you don't have to move on to IVF!!

Rebeccam - Did you HSG still show blockage and the septum? I hope this cycle turns into a BFP for you! How frustrating this process becomes for all of us! You won't try IUI one more time before IVF?

Dbliz- sadly yes it did. And my RE recommended to go IVF route after surgery. (It took two months for AF to show up after surgery) So I do have a choice to make but it's tough, specially with the cost of ivf. But I'm sure it's tough and emotional for everyone ttc. I hope this cycle works and I get my bfp.
I'm hoping everyone on here gets their bfp this month.

Dblitz - I hope the nxt iui works for u so u do t have to go to ivf. I'm dreading what the cost is going to be as well. I was shocked when they told me I had natural killer cells. A lot of dr s don't believe in it. I kind of didn't at first either but I knew something had to explain how I was able to have my son , but then 4 yrs later have a miscarriage at 3 months, then 4 months later have a chemical pregency. They say this is usually the pattern, then u get to a point where u can't even conceive anymore because these killer cells attack the embryo thinking it's something foreign. I go to sirm in nj, they have a lot of other offices around the us. They seem to be the only fertility clinic that believes in killer cells. I figured I mines well try the Interlipids to see if this may help. I just stinks because it's an iv that takes 3 hrs to do.

Rebecam- I'm so sorry u had to go through that surgery. I am definitely crossing my fingers, toes and arms for u that u get ur bfp

Hi everyone!
New to the boards but need support because it's my first time TTC and very excited but nervous. I had my first HSG today and wanted to do the IUI the same cycle. Anyone know if that's bad? I've heard some good things. Also need all the info I can on ovulation predicting.
Help!
