First IUI in December...

Postby scarletWillow3086 » Wed Dec 02, 2015 10:06 am

Hey ladies...I have my first IUI this month. We have male factor infertility. Doc said that IUI and IVF are our only options.

Anyone have any words of wisdom? Buddies?...should be getting AF today or tomorrow. Honestly, I'm very down. I see all these wonderful ladies getting pregnant on this site and I'm sitting here and can't get my first. Its so upsetting. I hope this is my month...

Hey Scarlett.
I understand what you mean. I've struggled to get my first bfp. Nothing so far. I got to my consultation for iui next week. Can't wait to see your test. Baby dust.

Hi Scarlett- I just had my 4th round of natural cycle IUI yesterday and today and am now in the two week wait. I am an obsessive person so the wait is a struggle for me. The first 3 IUI cycles I got a BFN and it was heartbreaking each time. We did not skip a cycle though and are hopeful that this is the one! Keep your head up and it will happen soon!

Hi Wishfull and Jed - I had my temp drop this morning so I'm ready for AF. I am going to schedule the HSG as soon as it happens today. I hear that the test painful. Have you had that done? Does it screw up your eggs when you get the Xray done?

We did everything right again and..nothing. We had enough BDing, we did it timely, the O day was perfect, and nothing. I'm just so heartbroken. Every month is hope, then loss, then unbelieveable grief. I ordered another round of femara and my doc appt is tomorrow to discuss the IUI procedure. How do they time your IUI right, and doesn't DH have to abstain for 2 or 3 days beforehand?

Hi all! First time posting. My husband and I have been TTC for about a year (longer, but he's military, so he has been gone a lot). I have been diagnosed with PCOS, anovulation (and I also have SLE lupus). I did my first IUI on 12/3 with Femara and HCG trigger shot. Now I am taking my progesterone supplements and waiting!! I'm going a little crazy! I know the progesterone can mimic signs of pregnancy, too, so I'm trying to tell myself not to symptom spot, but it's hard. I actually finally am starting to feel more normal after the Femara/HCG made me a little crazy emotionally and super tired. Hoping this "normal" feeling doesn't mean I'm not pregnant! Would love to follow along with you all here for support!! Hugs to everyone and I hope everyone on here gets a lovely Christmas present!

I go for my consultation tomorrow. I'm going to ask for all the testing I can get before we do the iui. I'm so nervous... and it's just a consultation.

Keep me posted! I already made a call to my doc about using a trigger shot before the IUI. Woohoo more drugs! I was like, DOC, I CAN'T MISS OVULATION DAY - THIS IS IMPORTANT. He must think I'm a raving lunatic. I know his staff can't stand me lol

Just came out. It went well. DH is going to to get a follow up SA and since I'm ovulating on my own, he thinks there's a good chance I'll fet pregnant in the next 6 months.

YAY Wishfull! That is great news!! So you won't need to do an IUI anytime soon?

Ohhh the SA...fun! My DH has another one of those lovely SA tests tomorrow. Just flash him before he leaves to the test - that may help haha

I'll have to try that. Dr.A doesn't think we will need it. We will reevaluate in 6 months
