Estridiol side effects during TWW

Postby Puddles-O-Cuddles » Wed May 04, 2016 10:58 am

I started 2mg twice a day of Estridol back at my 1st follicle scan when they found my lining to be too thin. When I started taking it (CD11) I was having mild nausea as a side effect.
I had my first IUI on CD17, and now I'm CD24 (7dpIUI)
The mild nausea has been upgraded to moderate to severe, and my breasts are *very* tender now.
I know 7dpIUI is early to feel symptoms so strongly, so I'm wondering if I'm getting too excited about my "symptoms" when in reality they're probably more likely to be side effects.
Anyone have any insights? Personal experience? Words of wisdom?

I don't know if it is relevant but when i took the combined pill (which i think has estridol in it?) I had severe migraines and vomiting (worse than gastro heavy vomiting). it was bad. I also found it had a cumulative effect i.e. first few days I just had headaches but by day 7 it was head splitting migraines and the severe vomiting

In pregnancy I also suffer lots of headaches, which I think is due to the estrogen

So basically you can have side effects to the estrogen but also be reacting to the estrogen during pregnancy so it might just be a waiting game. Hopefully that first IUI has done the trick and also that you start feeling better soon
