I'm doing my first IUI this month. I'm nervous I'm really trying not to get my hopes up but it's all I can think about.

@ Nehakanak,

Thank you for starting this thread.

I have gone through 3 iuis so far, and third one worked. but unfortunately it ended up in a mc at 8 weeks.
My RE recommended starting iui again after 2~3 months from the dnc. So I'm ready for the journey again.

its not easy to start again .

Hi everyone!
I'm in my TWW now. My wife and I did our first insemination last Thursday. I was on 50mg clomid and trigger shot, IUI 36 hours later. I had 3 follicles (17mm and 2 15mm) on CD12 so I'm hoping one of them worked. I know it's only my first but of course I'm excited and cautiously hopeful. We used donor sperm from a bank.
Good luck to everyone on their IUI's and TWW. I'll test next Thursday (if I can wait that long!).
Baby dust to all!!

Hi All,

I just had my first iui yesterday and this is my first time posting! DH and I have been TTC for almost 3 years now. Hormones checked out, hsg was clear and sperm count is good means unexplained infertility. I'm 34, he's 35, married 7 years.
I did 1 round of clomid last cycle but ovulated on a day when clinic was closed. Couldn't reach my RE on the weekend and used the trigger shot when I should've saved it. RE says this cycle counts as our first IUI attempt. I had 4 follicles at 14, 17, 18 and 20 mm two days before iui.
I'm only on day 1 post iui. It's so hard not obsess over this! Going camping this weekend so hopefully that'll keep me distracted!

Hi, this is my first iui with clomid. I'm taking 100 mg of clomid from day 2 to day 6. Will be seeing the doctor next Tuesday, 8/8 for a scan.

I am 33 and my husband is 35. We have been ttc for 15 months. All results are clear, HSG clear. :(

Hopefully, this will work.

Good morning ladies!

Nehaknak : How have you been since the trigger this week? Three follicules sound nice, I send babywishes your way.

Elivan : do you know when you will be having your IUI? Have you started medications yet?

Mybaby : I am so sorry for your loss, I can't imagine what it must be like you are very courageous to start again and I wish you all the best. Do you know when the IUI is going to be?

miniTTC : I am so sorry... I hope that following the hysteroscopy and changes in treatment will bring a positive outcome :)

Aillee : Hi again! glad to hear the IUI went well, keep us posted :)

Cosmosnat : Camping is a great idea! I'm just back from vacation too... Let us know how you are when you come back!

Hopeful : Have you done IUIs before? With other meds? I had so many more side effects with Clomid (ovarian cysts) so now I'm back on Letrozole, but some people react better with Clomid.. we're all so different... FX for you :)

AFM : we've had "unexplained" infertility as well. However, when I got a lap for "the" fibroid in May, they found mild endo which would otherwise have been overlooked. I hope that now that it has been taken out, we have increased chances.. time will tell, but it is so0 hard to be patient at this point!
CD2 today, starting Femara again tomorrow... I am anxious and also hopeful... but more anxious than anything ;) take care and my thoughts are with you all!

@Geekygab,

Hi there,
Thank you for your post.

well, after my dnc, I had almost given up ttc.
I was exhausted, heartbroken and miserable.
But time taught me to have patience and hope.

So, that's my story. :)

I'm now 2 months after my dnc. so, seeing my RE this week to know my schedule. My AF is due mid august. so, if we are to go with this cycle, my iui dates would probably fall in september.
Will keep you posted.

How is your cycle so far?is it femara CD 2~6? When is your trigger?

Keep us posted geeky gab. I'm sending you all the good vibes to stay happy during thiz journey..

3 follicles was really a boon this time but we had another problem ...semen volume was low ....though the number was around 15m

Mybaby88....tww is really hard but trying to stay happy...

Hey again everyone!
So I'm 4 days away from the date I SHOULD be taking the test and it's killing me! I'm doing my best to wait the whole time though because of course I want the most accurate results. Lately I've been noticing a lot of cramping which I usually don't get before AF but I'm not getting my hopes up too high because it for sure could be AF. I've been having super vivid dreams, last week I even had a dream I was carrying twin girls!! I feel like that's just my mind playing tricks on me though since I'm going through this process. it's hard not to analyze every little feeling but I'm trying not to. I really don't have any sore bbs just really sensitive nips, cramping, headache yesterday (9dpiui), occasionally nauseous, and hungry a lot. Now I just have to ignore these tests until Thursday, ugh!
Hope you all are doing well!
