Hi everyone...i thought of sharing my problem here as some of u guys i have known through past cycle n its also a matter of convern for all those trying back to back iui.
As u know it was my 5th iui in august n i thought a month break to try 6th iui....my first 2 iuis were without medication n 3rd with 10 mg clomid,4th with 50 mg n 5th with femara plus follistism....all this lead to hyper simulation and also made my lining thin and i shed in 9 days after i took rest. I am on contraceptives now to stop my bleeding...we should ask doctor about worse effects of so many iuis or give ourselves some rest in between ....

Ladies I need some help. We had our iui done Saturday the 2nd. I did my trigger (5000iu) on Thursday the 31st and have been testing it out since last Wednesday. Yesterday's test was completely negative and Monday's test only had a shadow of a line. I tested today and it positive!! Could this be real???

Wow SaraElise!
I think you have reasons to be excited! Especially if the line is getting darker! Do you have a blood test planned soon?
Let us know if you do, I'd love to hear about your bfp, betas and all :)

For whatever reason my office will only schedule blood work if I get a positive test. This Saturday will make two weeks from my iui so if I'm still testing positive then I'll call and go in. I had this happen with our 2nd iui and it was a chemical so I'm praying this is the real thing and it sticks!!!!

Hi SaraElise,
I want to be excited with you, however, I wanted to tell you that I had a strong positive 11 dpiui last month (on a FRER) and it turned out to be the trigger :( I had never tested positive so late
Your positive test, however, being less sensitive than a FRER might still be a real one!
I do hope, with all my heart, that the line gets darker!!! Fx and take care.

I started testing my trigger and it was gone by 7dpo. My tests from 7dpo-9dpo were completely negative. Who knows though. I guess I'll know in a few days!!

Hi SaraElise,
It was the same concentration as yours :) I had a slow metabolism last month apparently.
Ovidrel says 250 on the box, but it is really 5000iu. Trying to figure out all those numbers can be quite complicated! I'm still not quite sure I get it...

My tests from today are darker than yesterday so I'm hoping it's real.

That's great news!!!! I'm so happy for you SaraElise, I saw your post on the POAS forum :) :) :)

AFM, back from my u/s on CD9... 5 beautiful follies, one at 22 one at 20 and three from 17 to 18. The doctor said we exceeded the maximum allowed (which is 4) for insemination but, since we were on our 6th, he was ok for us to go ahead and do the IUI tomorrow. I took the Ovidrel right there, at the clinic! IUI is planned tomorrow with prescribed BD on Saturday and Sunday!
I'm really excited, seems like this is the first time in three years that all stars are aligned. Can't wait for the IUI tomorrow. Hope DH's spermies will be up to par since we did BD yesterday and he usually gets to good numbers when we wait more than 72 hours... we'll see..

How are you all doing?

5 follicles?! That is crazy. I had 2 for our first two iui sand MAYBE 3 for this last one. I had two at 19 and 20mm and a third that was smaller during my last scan but the nurse said it could have grown enough to release. I bet one of those 5 will work!!!!

I wish my doctor would just listen to me. They won't let me go in for a beta until Monday. I'm clearly pregnant. My tests have been progressively getting darker so it's definitely not the trigger. Looks like I'll be peeing on 100 more tests to hold me over until Monday!!

Good morning SaraElise,

I am so sorry you have to wait when you could have validation already! I hope your appointment is super early on Monday. I think I'd be testing like crazy until then too! lol

Yeah, I am alternately worried I will be octo-mom or that this time around it'll be BFN again. I need to drink herbal tea and CALM DOWN. I am more hopeful than not though since I gather from the last weeks that our previous attempts may not have been successful because of low progesterone (the Drs did not have me do blood tests for that...). Now I am taking Prometrium until Sept 30 so, I am anxious to see the effects. So far so good, I do not have many side effects from that so fx it'll stay that way!

Nehanak, Mywishes, Mybaby, Bren and Hopeful, I hope you are well, take care!
