Hi Manjula! I’m only 24hrs in and I’m already obsessing about what I️ should be feeling. I’m also trying to be optimistic

Hi all I had my second scan today I have one follicle at 15mm and another at 11mm I have to go back Friday where they think they willndo my trigger injection then perform IUI on the Saturday.
Is anyone else in same cycle as me?

Hello everyone!

I sm on my 4th day of taking Feromid. My last tablet will be taken tomorrow. My first scan is on Friday morning at 8.15am. The doctor will have a look at the follicles and after that, i guess a scan every 2nd day until we are ready for the IUI.
This will be my first every IUI and I am hoping and praying with all my heart that i takes the first time around. I have heard so many positive stories of couples who became pregnant on their very first attempt. However, there are also stories of couples trying 4, 5, 6 times... and nothing happens at all. I am petrified that this will be the case for us. Where will the money come from to pay for round after round of IUI. Where do you draw the line? When do you give up?
I am lucky this time around as my father has offered to help and will be paying for the first IUI. I am holding thumbs and toes that all goes well!
My exact date next week for the IUI is still unknown... i guess i will know more on Friday after my first scan.

Any comments from anyone...?

Adene :)

Hi adene
I have been TTC for 6 years and have always read these forums but never input in any. After multiple miscarriages and a few months of trying clinks we seekers help and with the NHS and we are currently on our first round of IUI with gonal f injections we have our second scan today and we have one follicle at 15mm and a second one at 11mm we have to go back Friday where they may do my trigger injection and then perform IUI on Saturday

Is anyone else on the same cycle or can give me any stories .

Thanks everyone xx

Thanks Alba.

My hubby and I have been trying for 2 years. No luck. Maybe we are just missing the exact ovulation day each time... it never seems to be accurate.
What does TTC mean? Apologies... i am new to all this terminology.
Does the NHS pay for all of these IUI or do you pay for it out of your own pocket? We are based in Cape Town, South Africa... Infertility Treatment is not cover by Medical Aid here.
I will post again on Friday after my first scan... and give more info on the follicles.

Good luck eveyrone... this process is oh so emotional and draining.... month in and month out.

So glad we are getting a pretty nice size group here!!! It is absolutely true that no one else can relate to what we are going through unless they have actually done it. These groups definitely help the two weeks go by faster.
My period started today so I am on to IUI #4. My day 3 scan is Friday.
I have decided to do two more IUI's then that is it. I had to set a stopping point for myself. After all I am 40!!!

Hi FletcherGT it’s my first IUI too. It’s exciting and nerve wracking at the same time. Bought pregnancy tests today but I️ don’t want to test yet coz it’s too soon

Ggarcia78, don't forget that the trigger shot will show up as a positive pregnancy test, so wait at least until you think that is out to start testing. Mine usually takes like 10 days.

Its wonderful to see the forum is getting bigger and bigger.
We all are rooting for one hope!

And its good to know that there are people who wear almost the same shoes you wear, take the same path you take in this journey..

So , we are not alone... arnt we? :)
