Ectopic Support?

Postby radkitten » Thu Aug 29, 2013 1:30 pm

I know we are a smaller group overall, but a forum for those of us that have been through ectopic's would be nice. It is definitely a different issue then a miscarriage, so it might be nice to have a forum where we can discuss ectopics.

So nothing for ectopic support? Good to know we don't count.

Hi radkitten,

I'm sorry it has taken me a few days to respond. This past weekend was a holiday weekend, and I wasn't able to be online as much as usual.

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate every request for additional forums. We recently tried to reconfigure forums and dropped some that were not used very often, and then tried to condense some others. I will discuss this suggestion with the site owner and see if it is feasible.

And also, because I did not respond right away in no way means you "don't count". TwoWeekWait tries very hard to make this website a supportive, friendly environment for everyone. I'm sorry if you were frustrated with me for not responding sooner.

I will keep you posted.

Thanks,
Kara

They could at least change miscarriage support then. I understand the desire to not have infrequently used forums, but leaving out an entire section of women who have also been through something exceptionally traumatic on a TTC forum is pretty upsetting. Where do those of us who suffered ectopics, etc go for support here? We're already outsiders the vast majority of the time when talking about our losses in the first place. My suggestion would be to chance the miscarriage forum to a pregnancy loss forum and include ectopics and molar's in the description.

I understand it was a holiday, but I had seen comments from administrators on other threads so waited. Saw my issue was not addressed and acted accordingly.

Honestly, if they need help, I can volunteer. I am a web developer.

The title of the "Miscarriage Support" subforum has been revised to include ectopics and the more generic "pregnancy loss'. I hope that helps in making women who have suffered an ectopic a bit more comfortable.

Saw this and just wanted thank you for making the change. A big thx to Rad for recognizing the need for it and requesting. It is true that it is a smaller group where the support/recognition is needed and appreciated.
