Travel with syringes & meds

Postby MidwestGirl » Sat Oct 20, 2012 9:58 am

I thought this might be useful to some of you, especially with Thanksgiving coming up. I looked up the TSA's policy on liquid medicines and syringes. Here's the link: ... ry-liquids . Basically, they say it's fine to bring whatever you need on a plane in the US, including syringes, prescription medicines in any volume, and ice packs to keep it cool. That goes for checked or carry-on luggage, but they suggest you keep medical supplies in your carry-on in case your luggage gets lost. You don't need a doctor's note, but they may do extra screening on it. They have a little print-out sheet that you can fill out if you don't want to explain it out loud to the officers at the checkpoint. Click on the "Disabilities and Medical Conditions" link and then on "TSA's notification card."
