DH was diagnosed with low morphology. I am confused as we have a DD. And honestly she was a happy accident without ttc. Its been over 6 years since we conceived her (she's 5 1/2) and we have been actively ttc since she was 1. My hormones are normal, no cysts, hsg good no blockages or anything. DHs count is good (97 million) but his morphology is low. Only 3 million sperm are normal (3%). Not sure how/why they are so bad. He stopped smoking, drinks way less than he did when we conceived DD, the only changes have been for the better. Just frustrated and he is taking it badly. He is secretly blaming himself and doesn't think I notice cause he is keeping it all burried inside. Any advice on low morphology or why it could ne so bad now?

I don't know why some men have morphology issues, but I just wantd you to know you're not alone. My DH and I are trying for #1. He has morphology issues as well. His was measured at 3.5%. I don know how they give a .5 I've never heard of it? It's really rough on him, but my OB put him on vitamin c and fertil aid for men to see if his numbers increase in 3 months. Also, he cut down to one up a coffee a day in terms of caffeine. We'll find out in a couple weeks if it helped (we're going in for IUI number one).

Hello,

You are definitely not alone. My DF has low morphology and blames himself as well for our infertility. The only thing we found is that he has varicocele. He also had a child previously that wasn't planned so he is very frustrated that we have been TTC for over a year and it hasn't happened yet. He doesn't drink or smoke so we can't understand why this is happening to him now either. Our Dr has recommended IUI but we are trying Femara first. Wishing you lots of babydust.
