My donation success!

Postby MichXYDonor » Fri Dec 21, 2012 5:42 am

Hot diggity! I just got some exceptionally welcome news...

My recipient let me know she's pregnant! I am ecstatic for her... she's going to be a great mom!

I can't say it was much of a "story"... this was our second month, so we were exceptionally lucky!

Background: Married woman, no known fertility issues, second child, husband had vasectomy.
Method: NI
Charting: She used OPK's to previously to get a baseline date of when she normally ovulates. However, we weren't using OPK's during our attempts. Didn't want the stress of trying to meet at X time.
Frequency: Month one was sporadic, over a 9 day window. This month, we were exceptionally regular, from day 8 to day 20, every other day like clockwork.
Technical notes: After every insemination, she lifter her legs/used a pillow under her hips. We also ensured she orgasmed during the session...sometimes before insemination, sometimes after. She stayed in that position for at least 20 minutes afterwards.

She's a wonderful, wonderful woman, and the world will be a better place with her as a mother.
I am a dad to two boys. I am also a known donor, with multiple successes.

Thanks! They both want to meet me one last time, and then I will ride off into the sunset... we'll stay in touch in case she wants more, and so I can provide health updates, but there is nothing quites so unnecessary as a donor after conception.

Anyhow, I'm glad we achieved success.... she really is a sweet woman.

Maz, I also had to look up NI, lol. It's Natural Insemination. Think of it like Artificial Insemination with a sperm donor, but more natural. Instead of a lab, you actually BD with the donor. I read alot about it. It was very interesting. And, my dh already said hell no, lol.

I looked it up too Choobey, very interesting as it seems the success rates are a lot higher with NI. Never even realised it was an option!!

How's things with you Hun?x
