OMG Still in Shock! BFP after 4 years TTC!

Postby justme2702 » Thu Mar 20, 2014 10:41 am

Hello all,

So, my husband (40) and I (34) have been ttc for almost 4 years now. We had a chemical very early on about 3 years ago and then that's it - nothing by disappointing BFNs for years. We finally looked for some help to find out that i had low AMH but for the rest was fine and hubby was perfect. Did one IUI and responded really well to clomid and Gonal F with a Trigger but still BFN. Did the following cycle again straight away, again with clomid and Gonal F but the doc said this was our last IUI before moving on to IVF. I didn't respond great to the med, only 1 mature follie and grew a cyst in the process. Went into it with super low expectations and have spent the last 12 days 100% convinced it didn't work. This morning at 12 dpiui, i got 2 BFPs (FRER and digi). I'm still completely in shock and sooooo very thankful for this.

I was always crazy about checking for symptoms and thought I would "know" if I was or wasn't pregnant at some point again. Well ladies there was NOTHING! NOTHING this month would have told me that I was pregnant at all. I was completely convinced that it hadn't worked and was psyching myself up completely for IVF next month.

Ladies, as they always say - it only takes one....and apparently its true! If it can happen to me it can happen to anyone. If you're lurking on this site like I did for many years, then baby dust to you and keep the faith and keep believing because miracles DO happen.

xx

Aw great story! :D

:congrats: :yay:

You might want to add "TTC >4 years" to the end of your thread title so that others aren't afraid to click on this! I almost didn't click on it for fear it would be anotehr "I'm sooo shocked I got pregnant the first month!" story he he.

Your story is lovely and would be great hope to the many ladies struggling on these boards.

Thanks for sharing! :)

Saw this thread was bumped up again with some new posts!

It's so cool to see that since justme2702 posted her story, four of us commentors in this thread ended up getting pregnant later. :D

A great, inspiring thread for others to read.
