Trying to Conceive Forum

I am new to this sit, this will be my first posting, I am looking for a cycle buddy. I just happened upon this site and everyone seems so supportive and understanding. I wanted to be able to talk with people who were going through something similar to me.

A few things about me. I am 33, TTC our first child. Started trying 16 months ago and after a year, went and saw a fertility specialist. Four months of testing, bloodwork, samples, etc. the only thing is my DH has a slightly low sperm count.

Last month was my first month TTC with clomid. Started my period today. Waiting to hear if I start the clomid Sun (June 10) or Tues (Jun 12). Had horrible side effects the first time I took it, hoping this month will be better.

I am hoping to find a cycle buddy. If anyone is interested. Thanks

Well, Im 27yr old and Im currently on my second round of clomid (100mg).
I started with (50mg) did not ovulate. But, this month I ovulated (checked with the ovulation kit). And now, the wait has begun! My two days of surge were 5th and 6th of June. Well, fingers crossed! Good luck to u....

Hi guys,

I am 30 years old and do not ovulate. I am taking femara around the same time you start clomid...would love a buddy as well. I was on clomid for two cycles and never ovulated (even though the opk said I had a surge). An us revealed I had mulltifollicular ovaries which can cause surges with no ovulation. Hoping this new stuff works!

hi there 1st round of clomid here on a new weight loss of 30lbs. we have known issues but had no problems conceiving my other 2. i have irregular cycles for an unknown reason and OH has few sperms swimming up. so we too are using clomid unmonitored seeing as the specialist said we can only have ivf which we cannot afford

Glad I could find some people to join. Started day 1 of clomid yesterday and am taking Mucinex three times a day. I hadam horrible side effects from the clomid last month, they seem to be better this go round (fingers crossed).

I go in to be checked on the 22nd of June, if things look good, they will give me an HCG injection, and my tww will begin.

Hi! I start letrozole tomorrow...I would love to join in! I take it for seven days, then go in for a folicle check on june 26th.

I am starting my 3rd round of clomid 50mg on cd5-9 tomorrow. I had a MC last month on round 2. That was my 4th MC and am so scared it will happen again. I have 3 older kids but have had low progesterone for years. My ob/gyn will not supplement with progesterone, only clomid. Anyone know about over-the-counter supplements? Good luck to all you ladies..maybe this will be our month!

hi girls. i havent been on for a while. well on my 4th cycle. 3rd cycle clomid. last month took a break. this cycle took it from cd2-6. im now on cd12. waiting to o. got the o pains but no + opk yet. got my temp dip this morning, so well see. im 28. only on clomid bc i was on depo shot for a year after my daughter. so they had to put me on estrogen and provera in jan. got af finally in feb. but the only reason is bc i changed drs. my dr who delivered my daughter and gave me depo wouldnt give me nothing. she knew i was ttc but said let it come by it self. well it was already a year after last shot and still no af. so i said ok. and called and made an appt somewhere else for a second opioion. as soon as i said ttc and no af. they jumped and helped, thank god. i didnt even think i would be on this stuff. i got two babies 2 and 3.5 and never had a problem with either. wasnt even trying with either of them. got pg with #1 a month being with my hubby. we got married april 7th and on april 9th found out i was pg. with #2 i had a mc in july 2009 and got pregnant sept 2009 with her. i was even on the pill but hubby was tossing them in the toilet so i thought i was taking them but wasnt. lol

Sorry haven't posted in a while. My grandfather was sick and then passed away. We almost contemplated not following up with the trigger shot, but the family was so supportive. So we went for it. Trigger shot given Thursday June 21. Now I am in the TWW. Although my dr said I could test at 12days. If negative then chances are more then likely not pregnant. Counting down the days, trying not to think about or stress about it too much.

Allison - Did the follicle check go well?

Nicole - + opk? Are you in the tww?

I don't know if anyone else's Dr are doing this but along with clomid, I go in for a follicle check and then depending on size get a trigger shot so we know pretty closegood to when ovulation occurs. Last month I had a follicle on the right and one on the left, didn't pay attention to numbers. This month I had two on the left one 19mm and one 23mm.

Anyone have any tww tips/tricks/what to do/not to do? My biggest thing is I am trying to keep my stress down, but my job can be stressful at times and I have a sister-in-law who is determined to cause me as much stress as possible. I probably sound silly we haven't gotten along for over a year. When the falling out happened it was rough, but then we just basically ignored each other. Seems ever since she found out we were TTC (about 3 months ago) she has tried repeatedly to start things.

I had my fol check yesterday and she found evidence of ovlation (I am not sure I have ever ovulated, so was pretty excited)...need to confirm with a progest test next week though! I had LOTS of cramping around O and while taking femara.

How did your trigger go?

Trigger went well. Waiting for tomorrow. That will be day 12. Couldn't help myself and took a pg test. Came back negative. Know it's probably too soon if I am pregnant, but at least I know the HCG from the trigger shot is gone. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. Staying positive, but have had so much going on this month.......not so sure.

Oh! And I would suggest yoga for stress relief! I go to a studio, but also found several wkouts in the "sports and fitness" section on our "on demand" television.
