The only side effect i had when taking the tablets was an uncomfortably bloated pelvic region (here's hoping thats a big load of eggs getting prepared).

I'm on cycle day 13 and nothing yet. We've been BDing every other day since cycle day 4. I didn't want to use OPKs this month, but this morning my husband asked me when should we increase the amount of sex we're having. He wants to be a dad so bad, so I broke down and took an OPK. It was negative which I assumed would happen because on clomid, I get the worse ovulation pains and I haven't gotten those yet.

Ashrow, when it comes to the sex of the baby, hands down my husband wants a BOY. Both of my sisters have girls so it would be nice to have a son and change it up. However, I'm happy either way. I just want a healthy baby!

Keep me posted with everything and I'll do the same.

I am on CD 12 and will start using OPK in the next few days. I tend to ovulate late around CD 21, so it probably will not be until early next week. Last month I also had a lot of ovulation pains and cramping and then got a positive OPK on CD 21 and 22. Hope this month works!!

LOL, I promise it's not me... it's my husband. I hate to make sex a chore, but he wants to a baby badly. If it was up to him we'd do it more, but the quality of the sperm descreases so we vowed for every other day until I ovulate. The pain is definitely in the pelvis area, but more cramping in the area of the ovaries. Last time, it just came out of now where. I had major cramping and was like oh my goodness. Decided to take a OPK and it showed a positive. I've had a little cramping here and there, but nothing like I experienced last month so I know I haven't ovulated yet. It's cycle day 14 for me so it should be soon. I just hope the egg(s) drops and the sperm is there awaiting their arrival. If it was up to my hubby, it would be a male sperm, LOL.

I got a positive OPK so we BDed yesterday and today. I'm pretty sure that I'm ovulating today though because since late last night I've been having cramping. Not as bad as the first month I tried clomid, but I'm definitely feeling it. I go in next week for progesterone level check. We'll see what happens.

Good luck ladies! Let's make those babies!!!!! :D

Swtshae - congrats on the positive OPK and ovulation pains! Always a good sign! Good luck and hope that the BDing works!!

Ashrow - I am also doing Clomid unmonitored at this point (I have an appointment with a specialist in August -- hoping that I don't need the appointment by August!) and am not getting any bloodwork or ultrasounds done. I wish that I was because I would like to get to the bottom of the issue. I am also curious what progesterone levels mean and what the doctors are looking for - is it just confirmation that you ovulated?

* ps. yesterday & today i have had pos opk what the hell, thats now 5 days straight of positive opk's & i ovulated 4 days ago weird.

HBS - we actually went on a holiday to Thailand & i bought some Clomid over there, no perscription needed :) . After 14-16 months of trying for #2 i thought i would give it a shot. My specialist appointment is on 10th July. My cycles are very regular 25-28 days however the luteul phase can be a bit iffy ranging from 10-13 days. Husband got a sperm analysis done & he's above average! I cant work it out, ive tried b6 & vitex which helped but no cigar. Where are you from in the world?

Ashrow, from my understanding my OB wanted me to have progesterone levels higher than 10 which shows ovulation. Last month with clomid, I was in the 20s and still no baby. We'll see about this round. I'll let you know once I get the results which is typically the next day. To be honest though, I'm not sure how to interpret the progesterone results. I've seen people post their progesterone levels and they're extremely high and no baby. I've seen women get pregnant with low progesterone levels. So I'm not sure what to think when it comes to progesterone levels.

Have you gotten yours checked before?

Interesting, i have seen other people post their levels but never knew what to get from it.
No i havent had my progesterone levels checked. I have my first appointment with a Specialist on the 10th July, so chances are that will be part of the tests they will perform to find out whats going on. The only thing that i think could be happening to me is blocked tubes or scar tissue to my cervix from my first birth. My cervix is torn on one side & is a bit flappy lol!
4 dpo today & nothing to report. With my first pregnancy i didnt have any symptoms till 6 dpo & the symptoms were a ridiculously closed tight squishy cervix & a crazy dream. For the remainder of the preg i had no symptoms, no sickness, no boob pain, nothing apart from a bulging belly.

Ashbrow, sounds good then since you really didn't have any symptoms with your first. I've just been having some light cramping on and off since ovulation. That's about it! We shall see what happens. I'll keep you posted and let you know progesterone levels once I get the results...
