Welcome, Angie! I'm relatively new to the group too! Its a great place to pass the time...SO sorry for your losses. You'll find a lot of us here have had them. I had a chemical last cycle, lots of support here!

Jaimee-That's SO scary! I cant imagine how you're feeling. But the good news is that neither of you naturally produce the FYA protein so theres is a VERY VERY low chance of the baby actually having it. And look at the bright side, you get more ultrasounds! You may be pretty sick of them in the end though, but more chances to see your sweet baby! That was always my favorite part of pregnancy! Its so incredible seeing your baby moving around inside of you and seeing how much they develop in a matter of a couple weeks, its mind blowing!!

Monkey-do you have a history of chemicals or miscarriages? Mine stayed up and i got my AF and then later found out i was PG but it was a chemical :/ also, my temps dont usually drop until CD3 or so....

***To post your chart in your signature--under your chart there is a button that says "share" click on that and it should bring you to the html and bbcode link that you copy and paste into your siggy. I use the html because bbcode doesnt work for me for some reason.

kaylaxkitten--No, zero history of miscarriages and chemicals. I had a history of 9-day luteal phases until this last one that was only 8 days. The one time I've been pregnant, it stuck and there was never a drop of blood.

I have always been recently off BCPs, which I understand can take a while to recover from. My temperatures have been high again the last two days, and last cycle they were pretty high during AF, so I hope that some cycle in the future they will be consistently high enough to maintain a normal luteal phase.

JamieLea - What blood group are you? This can happen with negative blood groups. With a negative blood group we carry a certain protein that can cause issues if it crosses over to the baby's blood if it's a Positive blood group. The first baby is not usually effected but if you;ve had a MC (as this counts as a first) it can cause complications with a second, but if this is the case anti-D injections should be given 3 times at certain stages of PG - me and my sister are both negative bloods groups and she has 2 healthy boys. Just wondering if this is the same thing and they haven't explained it very well???

Also negative blood groups can actually have a harder time conceiving because of this... more useless information i'm full off lol

Hello to everyone!

Mind if I join you ladies? I have been lurking your threads for a while now and love the friendliness and helpfulness in here :)

I came of BCP beginning of Jan, and all 5 cycles since then have been diff lengths so I guess I still haven't found my "normal" yet. Just came off a 42 day cycle ugh! Don't want another one of those. I just noticed that I can test on our 13th anniversary if I have a 28-30 day this time, so hoping this is our lucky month.

Welcome Waiting4rlo!!! Love these ladies! They are a great source of support, laughter and knowledge :)

Sorry Nands about the witch getting you, but I sooo admire your attitude!

Monkeysauce - My temp always stayed high until like CD 3 -4 too?

Simone - thx for the video. U never disappoint in giving me a great laugh!!!!

AFM - 1st day of really feeling nauseous :( My husband took me to see a chiropractor for it who is kind of a naturalpathic. Anyways, it was a weird experience and its hard for me being a nurse. Anyways...I'm living off of french fries and colace. Trying to draw up the strength to give my husband an "unselfish" act...before i start puking and have no interest in him coming near me for several weeks...lol.

Welcome Waiting4lo! Everyone here is really nice and very supportive - its great! Hopefully your cycles will start getting regular again ...its such a helpless feeling when there is really nothing you can do!

Nands-Well, on to the next month! FX this is our months :)

Amers-Sorry about the nausea :( Hopefully it wont get too bad for you. I bought these pregnancy pops with my DS and they actually helped a lot. Maybe its worth giving them a try!

Simone-Your stories crack me up! The scary thing is, I could totally see myself doing that with the water bottle! LOL. I swear, all this TTC makes us do very weird things hahahaha.

Monkeysauce-my temps are still high too and its CD3 for me. I think its normal for them to stay up a little bit in the beginning of AF. I wouldn't worry about it!

Jamielee-Wow thanks for sharing all that info. My fx are crossed for you it turns into nothing. You are right though, you never stop worrying, whether you're TTC, pregnant, or even have the baby. Its a never ending cycle ofo worry I've found! I guess that's part of being a mommy though :) Regardless, its great everyone is on top of it. So much better than being surprised with it down the road!

Jlea-Thinking of you!

oh my.... ladies...

I just have to share this one. We live in a new development and houses are still being built around us and today they have started on the house next to ours.

I'm so grateful that it's hot out... usually they are the ugly overweight old men working but today..... whoa.... there are two mid-twenties I guess with no shirt on... baby skin with muscles... not too many but nice enough to look at.

God, it's kinda embarrassing since my kitchen sink window is right there and I must do the dishes... They can clearly see me in the window but what else am I suppose to look at while cleaning the dishes??? certainly not the big pile of dirt around them... I think I'm blushing.

Welcome, Waiting4Rlo

Amers, hope the nausea doesn't get too bad. I kept mine at bay by snacking constantly. I also gained way too much weight that way...

shellsbells, I'm interested in hearing more about this protein conflict too. It seems like if it was a Rh factor the doctor would have said "Rh factor" because everybody's heard of that. I've never heard of the one Jamieelee is talking about.

AFM with my high temperatures... it's just cruel. I had one day of low temperatures that triggered AF so now I'm definitely not pregnant. Now my temperatures, and I guess progesterone, are back up but it's too late because I'm bleeding so much. I let myself have a little hope this morning, right after I took the temp, that maybe I had a sticky barnacle in there. But of course I don't. So now I get to be upset all over again. Sigh.

JaimeeLee - I hope all goes well and that your antibodies do not attack your baby! That must be so scary!

Amers - my aunt started bleeding at 38 weeks and her son died. She had to go through natural labour knowing that her baby was dead. She says she would rather give natural birth to 20 babies at once than have to go through that again. My sister-in-law only carries pregnancies until 35 weeks as her placenta also tearsround about that time. Luckily both her babies survived but they had to stay in hospital for a long time after birth.

JLeaS - Any news? You have been a bit quiet lately?

Waiting4Rlo - Welcome! I have been off BCP since end January and luckily my cycles are round-about the same length every time...but AF is extremely light, even lighter than when I was on BCP and that worries me a lot. I hope your cycle lengths develop a set pattern soon!

NandS - I also live in an area where lots of people are building, but no such luck in the looks department...but there's a gorgeous young man who works at the little store near our house, SOOOO nice to look at :) We are, after all, allowed to appreciate the beauty around us, just not touch what doesn't belong to us lol.

AFM - I'm getting more and more worried about my periods being so light! This cycle it was very slightly heavier than last cycle but still bleeding only lasted no more than 18 hours and then very little spotting started, until the AM of CD6. I have read that this might be a reflection on a very thin uterine lining that would probably not support pregnancy. But I have also read that since this is the norm, maybe it might be a normal healthy period for me. I'm not so sure about the latter...

Waiting for my OB to return from leave so that I can make an appointment, but after making the appointment I have to wait at least 2 months to see him (he is very popular and busy, but I really have reservations about seeing someone else). Thinking I might go to the GP in the meantime? Do you guys think that would help? Would a GP be able to give me answers and perhaps something to stimulate the creation of a thicker lining?

Also, going on a strict diet as from Monday.
Stopped BCP end January 2012 = TTC 15 months
Me - 28, DH - 29
Regular 30-31 day cycles
Insulin resistant but ovulating "like a machine" according to OBGYN and FS
DH has Azoospermia (0 sperm in semen) - initial diagnosis September 2012
Our only chance at a biological baby is through TESE/mTESE and IVF/ICSI
DH going for testicular biopsy in 2013/14 to see if they can find sperm - saving up money for it.

AFM... i had a really bad day Tuesday, questioning myself over weather i'm doing the right thing or not taking this break! I was so miserable, snappy and emotionally exhausted poor DH got the brunt of it all. Kind of blamed him, when it's not his fault.

I've cheered up since then (thank god, i was driving myself nuts, never mind anyone around me lol) and know it's the right thing to do

Sorry to all the ladies who AF has showed up for :( Hope she's soon gone and your back looking for some 'summer lovin' to those enjoying their summer lovin already, good luck :)

Hey Shells, My situation isn't an Rh factor problem. I'm AB+ so I won't have any antibodies against Rh...its a different antibody.

NandS- that is hysterical about your "dishes and a show" I'd be cooking up a storm, if I were you! That's the only way to get those extra dirty dishes.

Welcome WaitingforRl, I've learned so much from this group- I'm sure you'll enjoy it too!

Amers, that is so sad about your neighbor. I can't even imagine what that must be like...devastating! Did the chiro work? I'd totally be interested in finding some relief from my morning, noon and night sickness. Sipping ice cold Limeade has been helping me- but I don't really need the extra sugar. (especially since after dropping Dh in VT yesterday I managed to drive to the icecream shop for a sundae with oreo icecream and hot fudge and peanut butter sauce). And please keep it down about the unselfish acts. I don't want DH thinking that could be an option for him...I can't even brush my teeth without gagging these days!

Monkey Sis, NandS, I'm sorry about AF. She's a mean ole witch- for sure!

Betti, I guess it will depend on your GP. Mine never wants to do or recommend anything reproductive related. I had a hard time getting her to do a pap for me last year. Maybe some of the others around here know of some solutions to help build a thick lining. I've never had that problem myself...though my flow was much lighter before my blood transfusion when I was really anemic. Is anemia possible for you? You could try to eat iron rich foods to see if that will help.

JaimeeLee, I actually had my iron tested about 2 months ago and it was normal. I also tend to eat lost of iron rich foods. I think my GP won't have a problem advising me as she has been going through her own infertility battle the past year or more. I am just wondering if she is capable of prescribing this kind of medication, you know, like estrogen or progesterone and also if she is capable of doing the necessary blood tests to determine my hormone levels.
