Thought I was in tww but just got positive ovulation

I'm gutted I thought I was in the 2ww as I thought I
Had a positive ovulation test on the 2nd but I've
Just done an ovulation test now and it's positive.
I really thought I was pregnant as ive been having loads of symptoms.
I just took a pregnancy test also and it was bfn.
I'm so concussed, my period started 18th may lasted 5 days stopped
For a day then started again for 1 day only though. I have a 28 day cycle
So surely I can't be ovulating. Some one please help me

Hi Emma,
A few things could be happening.
-Your body could have possibly geared up to ovulate around the first positive opk you had but never did and that's why you're getting another positive now, as it's trying to O again.
-You could be having an LH surge right before AF shows (most woman have a surge just before the witch shows)
-You could be pregnant, and the opk is picking up the hormone before the hpt does. If the hpt isn't very sensitive, it's totally possible.

Either way, I would keep having sex in case you are about to O and also keep taking hpt every couple of days until you get a positive or af shows!
