I just got my 21 day progesterone draw yesterday and it was 42. I took 50 mg of clomid days 4-8. Midwife thinks my level is awesome and it was I did ovulate. She even said with a level that high I may be pregnant but doesn't want to get me too excited. I did some research and there have been lots of high progesterone levels that still resulted in bfn. Now I'm all bummed. I was super nausious yesterday at work and Wednesday but now I'm thinking its from the rise in progesterone. Any thoughts?

Hey there,

I had a progesterone level of 30 during my last cycle and the nurse said the same thing...but I was not pregnant. I did ovulate and had a normal AF for the first time in a long time.

Many people on this site have posted their levels as high, but it does not mean pregancy...just that if you were pregnant, your progesterone levels are high enough to support the the pregnancy.

I also know that 15 is the number they like to see for definite ovulation, but I have heard 10 is okay if you are not medicated.

That is a wonderful number! But, there is no way to really know anything other than the fact that you did ovulate from progestorne levels. I had a bfp with a level of 12.6 and a BFN with a level of 67.

Thanks for the input......I'm not sure what to think. I'm about 7 dpo and my nipples are sensitive, I have been super constipated. Nausea last Friday. I'm not sure if this is from the high progesterone or early pregnancy. I guess I'll find out on saturday when I test.

Thought I would update....af came Monday. Now I'm on round 2 of clomid. Dh is getting his SA on Tuesday and I'm super nervous. Keeping my fingers crossed.
