My beta numbers were
@11dpo beta 12.3 prog 15.8
@13 dpo beta 31 prog 20.4
@17 dpo beta 423 prog 17.8
I started spotting @ 4 week 6 days. I was confident its not going to miscarry since numbers were good till 2 days back and then bam the same night I bled heavily once.
Went to RE next day (5 weeks pregnant). There was not even a sac and blood work came back @ 305 and progesterone dropped to 10.
I have no idea what went wrong. I am so devasted and shocked. Have so many questions and no answers.

I'm sorry for your loss Nancy.

I just miscarried too so I know it's a huge blow. Get a list of questions together for your doctor and hopefully they will answer them for you.

My doctor said it was mostly likely chromosome issues with the embryo. It's the main reason for miscarriage and won't affect our chances in the future.

Again, I'm sorry for your loss. Take some time for yourself and try to spend some time doing something you enjoy.

I am sorry for your loss. I have had two miscarriages and on the second one my betas were doubling perfectly and the baby measured perfectly right up to when the baby died at almost 10 weeks. I had genetic testing done and there were no genetic issues. I had a baby 13 months prior to that without any problems. So I was left with no answers other than being told this just sometimes happens. Sorry, I know this isn't giving you any answers but just wanted to let you know that sometimes we may never know what went wrong.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss at 10 weeks kierann. That must have been heartbreaking. :hugs:

this is the second miscarriage for me. The first one was blighted ovum and I knew something was wrong all along since the beta numbers were all over the place. But this one was a total shock since it started out right. But as you said, we are planning something but GOD is planning something else.
@cupcake, I am sorry for yor loss. That's a great idea to just focus on something else and take your mind off the whole thing.

when are you girls planning to get pregnant again.
We are actually going to take a break and try only by year end. Hopefully we will be lucky the next time. Good luck to you.

I am so sorry for your loss. A bit about our story. m/c may 2008 surprise bfp July 2008 we born march 19 2009. Chemical Dec 2011 bfp march 2012 mm/c @ 11 weeks may 2012. We got genetic testing and found out I have MTHFR factor. (Blood clotting disorder)i had a blood clot in my leg prior to we conception was on heprin to flush it out which is probably why I carried full term with dd. I hope.you find the .answers you seek. I realized after mourning that I was chosen because I could get thru it. Cuz st could get thru it. We are our babies voice.

Nancy, not knowing why your little one didn't stick is awful. Pps are correct. It was most likely that the chromosomes just didn't fit together just right and baby passed. It's amazing we manage to ever reproduce, so many things can go wrong and everything has to go just right. If I had to guess, based on your dpo, I'd say it had to do with the cardiovascular system/heart not forming perfectly enough. The heart usually starts beating around 21dpo. If it doesn't, baby cannot survive.

There was nothing for you to do or not do. It just happens sometimes, and it really sucks when it happens to us.
