I replied to your other post, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to reply here. I'm in CD 4, maybe 3, depending on if spotting counts, and I'm also on month 3 of trying. I can't wait for AF to end so I can star trying to make a baby right away. Since I don't know exactly when I ovulate, my husband and I are just going to BD every other day this month. I really feel like this is our month. I mean, the past two months we BD'ed around O time, but we could have missed it. This time we're surely going to catch when I ovulate. I thought AF was over today and then she came back really bad all of a sudden this evening.

If I get pregnant this month my baby would be due on my birthday! My sister's birthday is the day before mine and when my mom was having her I was so annoyed that she was in the hospital on my birthday. My sister and I always complain about having birthdays so close. Clearly, this means that my child will have a birthday close to mine just so we can complain more, right?

Anyway, good luck, and hopefully we can keep each other company all this month.

Welcome Rivvyb513! :D I'm happy to see you here too. Yes, we can definitely keep each other company this cycle. So your birthday is around mid May? That's hilarious about you and your sister and I totally think you are right that it would just figure that this would be your baby month!!! Fingers crossed for you! I like the idea of May since I'm in school and we figured out that if I get this semester and next semester in, that I will only have about 3 classes left to graduate. That would be a lot easier than the 6 or so I would have if we had already gotten pregnant over the last 2 months of trying, so there's something to look forward to for me as well :D

So I know for sure that I am cycle day 2 today and I should ovulate around day 16 to 19 but since this is only month 3, who knows! When do you think you will ovulate? Do you chart your temps?

My birthday is May 9th, my sister's is the 8th, and of course mother's day is also in may, as well as my sister in law's is the 15th. May is a big birthday month in our family.

I don't use anything but a calender to predict when I ovulate so it's hard to know for sure, but I don't have the patience to temp every morning especially when I work early in the morning in the summer, but I do not want to get up early to temp when I'm not working. I don't really want to stress too much over it anyway. I assume I will ovulate around the 16-19th too actually. At least according to my calender it would be around the 17th. I plan on starting to temp/and or use opks next month or the month after. Next month I go back to working afternoons so it would be easier to just temp at 10 or 11 am.

Speaking of work, that's my only real issue with having a baby in May. My summers are way busy so I'd have a new born that I'd have to have a sitter for during the summer when I am working 50-60 hours a week.

Oh, your summer schedule sounds rough! My work schedule rarely changes so it would be the same other than we plan on having me cut way back at first, if we can afford it. What do you do? I'm off today luckily. I've taken a few days off here and there as we approach the fall semester. I tend to stay so busy with full time school and work that taking a few days here and there to gear up is necessary for my sanity! My summer is usually really light just for not taking any classes. I'm so used to be completely occupied between both! That's what I get for being a late bloomer since I'm finishing my degree in my 30's

In other news, I woke up this morning with a little nausea, dizziness and headache that I'm assuming is due to sinuses. And the period remains fairly light. Not light enough to fool me into thinking anything is up but I hope my cycle is regulating properly so we have a good chance this month. I was on b.c. for almost 16 years before now and I hope that doesn't make it take longer for things to get rolling

I'm a nanny so when school starts, the kids are in school and I don't have to work until the afternoon. They're going out of town for two weeks starting this weekend so I get a break soon enough. I haven't finished college yet either so don't feel too bad. I took a couple of years, but I just couldn't afford it anymore. I'm hoping to go back in a year or two.

My period is being really annoying too. I thought it ended the day before yesterday then I went to dinner last night and got really cramps. They were so bad I had to cut dinner short. I felt bad we spent the money on dinner and I made us leave after about half an hour. Bad cramps are normal for me, but not when I hadn't even bled at all all day. Then today I thought it was finally over only to notice spotting this afternoon. My periods are normally 3-5 days, and I think I'm on day six now.

I hope your cycle regulates too. It may take a while after being on BC that long.

I hear you NTNP! I should O anywhere around 8/17 to 8/20. I was actually scared to test this last time and had the willpower to test no earlier than 14 dpo and it was negative as I was suspecting it would be. How many cycles for you? This is my 3rd. I'm hoping things start moving along here as well. Seems like af has been really light, then all of a sudden today, when it should be wrapping up, it got a little heavier. Wtf.

I almost never test unless Af is at least a day late and AF was due yesterday and this morning woke up and there was nothing so I figured I should test and get it over with rather than searching for the witch all day when I should be working lol. Negative test and then spotting within an hour. I hate wasting tests and even more so hate seeing a negative when I was so sure. We are "not trying, not preventing" for 3 cycles. I have very obvious ovulation and I know we have the timing down right. The whole point of ntnp was to not make it feel like bd'ing was a job. I don't want to put a lot of stress on us to begin with so once we get desperate we will put some major effort in but for now we are content and going with the flow.. unfortunately today- Aunt flo.

Lol! Well, I like your approach. I wish I had the will power to wait until af is late because I too, HATE wasting tests and I hate feeling like a failure when it comes up negative. I guess since I've only been off the b.c. for the last 2 months, I'm never entirely sure when to expect it. I have been surprisingly regular since I got off (only 3 days late the first month and about 2 days early this month) but since I was on the b.c. for almost 16 years, I kind of still expect my cycle to wig out and do something weird. I don't want to get all excited, thinking I'm late when in fact, I just don't know when it should be here. I started tracking my temps so I can have a clue what my hormones are doing and the chart I use helps me predict until things become normal for me. That's awesome that ovulation is obvious to you! It hasn't been very clear to me just yet. So you don't do any charting/temping or anything then I assume? Good luck to all of us this cycle. I'm counting down till we get our next chance. This is what our life has become these days... counting down till O day then counting down till af!! Ahhhh not fun or interesting!

I don't do any charting because my cycle is so regular and consistent each month and I get all of the classic ovulation symptom, ewcm and cramping. I tried charting a few times but I'm not a morning person so getting uP in the morning is a feat in itself. I've heard a lot of people have success with preseed and I'm kind of curious to try it this cycle. I might try charting again this cycle but I doubt I will last. I put my basal therm on my night stand last night to temp this mornig but it fell under the bed so I already messed up on day one lol. I've never used any form of birth control, just withdrawal and knowing my fertile times so in lucky to not have to worry about that factor at least.

Haha you sound like me! I hate mornings so any day I can sleep in, I do! I still temp right when I wake up, but my times are far from consistent lol. That's awesome that you are so regular. I guess it probably has to do with no b.c. for you. I was always too scared to get off of it before I knew I was ok with the possible outcome. Hell, I'm STILL scared of the outcome lol! Well, good luck trying to temp again. I keep my therm on my nightstand as well. What I really like about it is after you O, you kind of have a clue if you are about to get a bfp or bfn, at least for me it's been consistent in the way the temp starts going down at a key moment and if it goes down 2 or 3 days in a row, I know without a doubt that my period is on the way and should not expect a bfp. I like having a little bit of a clue before the period happens. It usually happens around 13 dpo for me. Keep in touch! Off to a crappy work day for me. Yay

Oh, I have some of that Preseed, but have yet to use it. It was about $23 at Walgreens

Long time no talk. Cycle day 8 now. I've been working a lot and tired. So during this waiting period, now I'm not sure I want to continue this cycle or not. We started thinking an extra month or so would be better schedule-wise for us so I'm not sure we will be trying. The crappy thing is, it may or may not happen anyhow! My cycle is still getting regulated off the b.c. for sure. Things have been different every month since I got off and it feels like things are changing yet again this month (the 3rd one off b.c.) I'm doing the charting and read that 'Taking Charge of Your Fertility' book and I've figured out why I probably didn't conceive the last 2 months and it mostly has to do with just coming off of b.c. and a little to do with timing. I understand it WAY more clearly now but it looks like I'm still struggling to regulate by common measures. So we'll see....
