Hello! I am hoping someone has some insight into this!
I had my CD3 Ultrasound today to check my lining and ovaries for my 1st IUI. She didn't give me any measurements, but she said that for CD3 my lining was thicker than normal. My periods have always been very heavy, so I had an idea, but I am unsure of whether or not this will interfere with the IUI? She said everything looked fine and they had me order the donor sperm. They also started me on Letrozole - so I'm a little confused! I always thought thicker was better!
Any help, tips, or ideas are greatly appreciated!!

Sometimes doctors can cycle a cycle if the lining is too thick if yours didn't cancel it it means ur doctor doesn't think it will cause any problems .Are you going back on cd5 to recheck?
A thick lining early in the cycle means that ur lining didn't shed properly. After O is when the lining should be thick.

No, they didn't request for me to come back on CD5 - they just told me to call when I got the smiley face on the ovulation test and we would schedule the IUI the next day.

No monitoring,no trigger shot? They are relying on an opk?!What if you don't ovulate until much later ?!

I have no fertility issues, I am in a same sex relationship so she didn't think the monitoring would be necessary. She said if we were unsuccessful this time then we could to the monitoring and anything else needed. I did the HSG about 6 weeks ago and she said everything looked great so she didn't think monitoring and trigger shot were necessary. No idea! This is my first time doing any of this!

I understand,a more natural approach is very good.Hopefully you are successful and no need for all of that but in case ur not I highly suggest monitoring.

Yea, if it doesn't work this time (which I know is highly unlikely), I will ask for the monitoring and the trigger shot - I have a feeling taking these tests all the time is going to be super confusing! It would be much easier to just get the trigger shot and go in afterwards versus doing these ovulation tests every day.

I honestly don't like the digital opks,my cheap opks worked just fine and they are really cheap and for me who loved peeing on them 2-3times a day
) were very convenient.

Those are the ones that the test line needs to be as dark or darker than the control line? I've never done any testing before, so I'm just very nervous and hope that I don't miss that window! I use the Ovia app - but other than that, I'm a bonafide "newbie"!
