Disappearing + near end of timeframe?

Postby Cassiopeia » Thu Nov 09, 2017 10:36 am

Hi all!

Just wanted to see if this has ever happened to anyone else and what the result ended up being?

I took a FRER this morning (SMU) and it showed up positive (faint, but not a squinter) about 45 seconds into the test. It was well after the urine had cleared the window and the control line was in place. I didn’t even second guess it - I was like “omg! This is a positive test!” And it remained positive for several mins. Long enough for me to take numerous photos and oogle it’s beauty before it began to fade. By right around the 10 min mark, it had all but faded into what I’d classify as bfn. Now it’s no longer there at all. Pretty much stark white (although I can convince myself to see something if I really try - but if I’m being honest with myself, nothing is there).

For what it’s worth: I’m currently on CD49. (Cycle lengths vary from 28-48 days). My last cycle was the longest I’d had in a long time at 48 days. I don’t chart... don’t know when I O’d... but had what I thought might be IB 10/31-11/4. Light brown tinted discharge only every now and then when I wiped. I have taken about 3 tests since then. All were BFN, including one yesterday at CD48, so I assumed all the “symptoms” I’d convinced myself of having were just me wanting to see something that wasn’t there.

This is now one day beyond my longest cycle length and this test happens so now I’m confused.

I’ll attach a pic that I took about 7 mins into the test. Thoughts? Similar stories? Outcomes?

I’ll add that I took a third test about an hour later with 3rd MU... it was negative (again, I can convince myself to see something if I want but I’m just kidding myself really).

Of course that urine was only an hour hold after the previous test so I dunno.

That looks like a BFP to me. I would try again with afternoon/evening urine and a 3 hour hold!

Thanks! I agree I think that totally looks like a BFP... so you don’t think the fact that it’s completely gone now matters?

Def gonna rest again later tonight - but I’m gonna have to get more tests! I’m out of them now! Haha

This is how that same test looks now. About three hours after taking it. ☹️

I definitely see the line in the first pic. I’ve never heard of the line disappearing. Keep us updated with your next test.

Won’t be able to get any more tests tonight after all. So I’ll be testing again in the morning. I’m gonna try to hold it in when I get up so I can use that quality FMU when I finally have a test. lol

I totally see it on both but you’re right, the second is lighter (it normally dries darker). Interested to see what tomorrow’s brings!

BFN this morning ladies!
Not sure what was up with that one test. ?

Still no AF though. Now CD 50 so I guess we’ll see eventually . I’d rather get it out of the way though if she’s coming so that I can get on with my life! Lol

Pressing onward!
